Neat idea, tasty for the cocktail.... But both of mine leak. When filled with the beverage and then everted so that they're sitting on the rubber stopper, they leak making a mess.

This is by all means a great, fun smoke infuser cocktail set. It has all the necessary accessories, it's straight-forward to use (although there's a step-by-step process) and the spherical glasses a nice quality and look pretty cool. No issues with the set itself. The only thing is, I thought it would be more of a fun thing to use so it's more of a user issue. As an honest review, I thought I'd get more joy out of this product. This product isn't for me, unfortunately. I am sure others WILL enjoy it though. But for me, I only used it once. While it was fun and cool, I just haven't had an interested in using it again. With that said, it'll be sitting in the back of a shelf (or I'll be regifting it) which translates into a 3 star type of product for me.

I recently received this "Smoking Gun Wood Smoke Infuser Cocktail Ball - 2 pcs Glass Balls with Glass Straws - Accessories Smoker Machine, 12 Oz (350 ml), Pack of 2, Black Plug" which I'm using alongside Smoking Gun's food smoker, and the pairing is as educational as it is entertaining, but that should in no way overshadow the deliciousness! This pair of very unique looking glasses are designed for the pairing I mentioned above, but could easily work with a similarly styled smoker. The innovation with these glasses is hard to define because it's basically their entire design. The glasses are spherical with a watertight rubber stopper on the bottom of each sphere and an insert for the glass straw. It's a little confusing the first time you do it, but when it "clicks" for you, it'll be a total "aha moment." The only negative impression I have about the glasses themselves really has to do with cleaning them. The unique shape lends itself to being a bit tricky and if you have ever tried cleaning a glass version of a "crazy straw" you probably know what I mean. They're cleanable, but I do recommend not letting the glasses sit because "scrubbing" isn't really possible. I personally find it easier to just not let any residue sit for too long. In that regard, these glasses end up becoming more of a novelty than something to use with regular frequency. That being said, they really are still very entertaining and I've not had an instance an observer wasn't engaged from start to finish. Again, possibly due to the novelty of it, but anyway. In all, a fun and unique take on the smoked beverage experience. Functional and fun - my favorite combination! When I placed my order, this pair of cocktail infuser balls was priced at $34.95. Considering it's ONLY the glasses, I personally think that's a bit on the expensive side and feel they should be priced no higher than $24.95. Perhaps if the glasses came with a sampling of different wood chips or something, then maybe I'd feel the pricing was ok. As I type this review, I see the set is listed as "Currently unavailable." I cannot know the reason for the product's lack of availability today, but hopefully the pricing will be slightly better when the set returns.
