Wonderful sound that lasts much longer than others
I love the sound! The sound is so much longer with this rainstick. The quills from the cactus that are on the inside combined with the beans, rice, rocks or whatever they put inside, make a great sound.. There’s only one caution: some of the quills are still poking out, so be careful where you touch it. They are not out far enough to pierce the skin, but were surprising to me.

Nice Rain Stick
Nice rain stick...with a little practice I was able to produce a more consistent sound of rain.

Sounds great! Long lasting effect
The sound produced is pleasant and can be either a short burst or a long gentle rain depending on how you hold it. I suggest about a 45 degree angle and turn it slowly as the pebbles fall. This lasts for a good while - certainly several measures of a song. Seems like it could crack with much pressure so I would not recommend this for children

Authentic instrument
First of all let me say that this item met my expectations. I also have to commend the company and Amazon for getting the item to me although late, in time for a very special Christmas with my granddaughter. It is beautiful cactus wood the rain sounds last about 10 seconds if you hold at a slight angle a little longer if you tilt it to about 30 degrees. I bought this for my granddaughter who has autism and she is my nature girl and absolutely brought joy to my eyes to see her appreciate a present. She's very difficult to buy anything for and have her show real interest I highly recommend this for anyone else who's speaking a sensory item for their own nature baby.

Bad Workmanship
Bad workmanship. Sharp knobs all over the rainstick, will definitely cut into hand. Certain part of the stick are very rough to the touch too. Definitely not a finished product. Stay away from this company :(

Nice But Sharp
I love the sound But you have to be careful because the nails they put in it make the edge rough and sharp

I got this for soundbaths to use with my singing bowls. Nice size for the price. Beautiful sound and it feels really grass roots handmade. Only thing it was quite rough and prickly. It felt like I could get a splinter, so I sanded down the prickly parts (for safety). Easy enough with sand paper. I didn’t care for the little rasta band on the end, so I cut it off. I decided to decorate it by painting it with acrylic paint which went on easily.
