I have used Android auto since November 2017 and LOVE it with one exception - constantly having to connect and disconnect the phone to the USPC cable. The phone would lose connection due to cable movement. This could remedied for a while by repositioning or replacing the cable. Oh how I wished I could connect wirelessly. A couple of weeks ago I saw information about AutoProX on Facebook. After a bit of research, I ordered the device from Amazon. It arrived the next day and I immediately set it up on my Jeep Wrangler. Oh my, it was an answered wish to be able to keep my phone in my pocket while it connects by Bluetooth to Android Auto. I was so pleased that I immediately order another AutoProX for my Honda Ridgeline. I am not sure why but had difficulty getting it set up on the Ridgeline so I communicated with Customer Service by text. They were OUTSTANDING and worked with me to get it working properly.While having Bluetooth connection to Android Auto is a blessing, being able to cast all of the apps on my Samsung phone to the screen is a BONUS! I participate in geocaching using an app on my phone. Geocaches are identified on a map in the app. It is not safe to look at the small screen on the phone when driving to a geocache. Now I can cast the app to the bigger screen and easily and safely navigate to the general area of the geocache. Apparently both of my vehicles have screens of lower resolution screens than AutoProX can support so my screen has smaller icons than seen in the Facebook ad for the product. This is not a major problem for me. While NOT driving I have tested Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Movies. All work well and the resolution for video is great. I can also play my favorite online game, Forge of Empires, on a larger screen while NOT driving.AutoProX is a little slower to open Android Auto by Bluetooth than when connected by USBC. This is not a problem for me. When using DeX the vehicle radio cannot be used. Again this is not an issue as I stream the stations I like using apps on my phone. The phone does not charge when using AutoProX. I remedied this by putting a wireless charging pad in my vehicle. If there is not room for the pad, the phone can be connected to power by USBC. For me this is only a problem on long trips. On the Jeep Wrangler I get a message that the device is not supported when I first start the vehicle. After about 15 seconds this message disappears and AutoProX opens Android Auto. I have not had a problem with AutoProX on my phone supporting two devices.I LOVE this device. Before purchasing be sure AutoProX is compatible with your vehicle and phone. Casting with DeX can only be done with a Samsung phone that supports DeX. If you have problems please CONTACT CUSTOMER SUPPORT before returning the device to Amazon. The are very knowledgeable about getting the device to operate on different types of vehicles.
