When I visit my daughter in Australia I always make sure I buy her monthly magazine that is issued over there as it is just full of the most lovely stuff. The first section in this book is Chocolate and I just drooled over the pages - chocolate and maple banana cake, white chocolate and amaretti cake. Fig and chocolate truffles (I am making these for Christmas) there are so many imaginative recipes and the instructions are simple and uncomplicated and accompanied by beautiful photographs. There are quick and easy recipes here as well and the feeling is that this is a book which can be used by most competant bakers and cooks. It is not high brow or pretentious in any way. All recipes are, as in all cook books these days, given in metric and no imperial measures and I always find this sightly irritating. But that is my only criticism of a beautiful book. I dislike the word ‘accessible’ as i think it is over used but everything in this book is. A treat to read even if you never cook anything from it! really easy recipes to follow, i haven't cooked donna hays recipes before, but i would now ,easy to follow, great results, the recipes are obviously tried and tested before they are printed, the book is gorgeous well photographed with a picture of every recipe if you like baking, cakes , biscuits and chocolate then this a book i would recommend.

Donna Hay’s latest book is packed with ideas.
I have nearly all Donna Hay’s books and really like her recipes, the design and photography makes them appealing. This a substantial volume with many recipes but I feel it has too many chocolate ones! I know most love chocolate but would have preferred less plus they are printed on a dark background which makes them hard to read.

Fantastic Baking book with a difference.
Fantastic baking book, clear instructions with beautiful illustrations. I like the fact that the majority of ingredients are normal everyday store cupboard essentials for a baker. At last some different recipes that turn out as expected. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys baking no matter what level of experience baking there is something for everyone to try.

Another great book from Donna Hay
I'm a big Donna Hay fan, and this is another of her books that will see a lot of usage in our house. Predominately sweet recipes, it has plenty of simple options for novices, and some interesting inspirations for more advanced bakers. Have a given a few copies as gifts, and recipients have all loved it.

Muchas de las recetas son realmente aplicables. Incluso considerando los ingredientes, se pueden tener buenos resultados con los sutitutos adecuados. Las fotos son hermosas y las descripciones precisas. Gran adición a la biblioteca de cocina!

Questo libro è bellissimo (grafica, copertina etc) e le ricette ottime come praticamente tutte quelle di Donna Hay che seguo da anni. Non do 5 stelle solo perché ci sono volute 3 settimane per averlo oltre all’ulteriore ritardo rispetto alla consegna prevista.

This is a beautiful cookbook, full of recipes I will bake. There are different sections of flavors. Also, there are "quick" recipes in each section which I find quite lovely. The book is beautifully written and photographed- drool-worthy! I have over a thousand cookbooks and this one I am sure will be a favorite.

Donna Hay is great at providing easy to follow recipes for bakers of all abilities. This book covers everything, from the very simple quick fixes to more complex recipes and always guides you to great results. I usually find cookbooks only have a handful of really useful recipes but it’s not the case here. Each desert is different and interesting enough to catch my attention, and I’ll be baking my way through it all- at the cost of my waistline. A must purchase for all baking fans!
