This was one of my favorite items. I hang out sheets in the summertime and they keep my sheets from dragging on the lawn.

I bought two props. They work okay, given our needs and the price. They hold the clothesline just fine, and the plastic fitting on top keeps them in place. Two downsides: one of the props we bought is starting to rust, even though it is stored indoors when not in use. Second, the poles slide such that the plastic fittings on each end can be knocked off if a pole is collapsed too far, and there is nothing in the pole to stop them from collapsing too far. However, they are worth the money (very inexpensive), and I am buying two more.

Can't find supperlatives or excess praise for this, it does its job perfectly and is well made. Easy to use. Arrived with zip tied product packaging cut and fallen at the bottom of the box but product looked new/unused. Only issue I ran into is that it can be a little hard to tighten in the center and so can slip down in length if not really tight. Great product, thats all I can say.

I used two of them for a single 30 ft clothes line. They couldn't support the weight if I hung anything on the line they just kept collapsing. I followed the suggestion from another person who purchased the same supports and said that putting duct tape on the poles that fit inside the outer pole made them work. After installing the duct tape and getting the inner pole into the outer pole and screwing everything back together they work perfectly. I really didn't want to return them because I need them but they absolutely do not work if you put any weight on the line. This was an amazing fix suggested by another purchaser and I really appreciate it.

So disappointed with this. On first use the pole didn't grip the washing line correctly and fell, resulting in the head coming away from the actual pole. Getting it back on was quite a challenge and I used superglue to hold it in place. The twist mechanism to extend the pole is badly designed and that too does not stay in place. As a consequence the pole retracts which resulted in my clean sheets skimming the ground. These poles are not easy to find and there is little choice in manufacturer. Just wish I had brought a few with me when I moved to the USA from England.

These are very sturdy props with a small spike on thebottom to grip the soil and a catch on top for the clothesline so they don't fall to the ground. They will slide on the line if clothes are not pinned on either side of them. They telescope so the height can be adjusted. They are a lot heavier than my old aluminum ones that are now all bent up. I liked these so much that I sent for a pair for my daughter as well. Good product!

Sturdy, lasts, easy to use. Have used for 5 years, just does the job. Saw other posts with less stars...maybe I just got a good one. Works for me though. Bought a different one from Amazon at same time. It was made of thin, ridged aluminum. It worked well, but just stepped on it and flattened metal. Not as robust as this one. Did splint it with wood lathe and Gorilla tape. Back in action. Both worked and happy to get 5 + years out of them.
