I own the first version of the neotech helmet that was purchased in 2012. that helmet is a size large. should i stay with the same size "large"?

How good is the ventilation? How hot are these helmets to wear?

The venting is not bad but I have had better. I tend to wear this as my cold weather helmet and wear a half helmet during the summer.
