Aesthetically pleasing and approachable set
This is a nice set. It's the first time I've used Legos since I was maybe 12 years old. The instruction manual is really well done and has some info on the actual Great Wall, plus some factoids sprinkled throughout the instruction pages. Everything was clear, and some extras of the smallest pieces were provided.I really like the way the wall comes together and how they solved for the variations in height and rotation. It's a very clever set despite how simple it is. I can't imagine what problems another reviewer had with pieces not fitting together somehow. Everything worked for me.I think this is a great entry-level (or reentry-level) Lego set with a pleasing aesthetic. I had been on the fence about these Architect sets for a while because they tend to look too smooth (because almost everything is covered in smooth caps) and don't have that distinct Lego look, but this set actually changed my opinion. Now I'm looking forward to doing more!
