Performs as Advertised! Good Value! Easy Install.
Meets and exceeds expectations. Simple, straightforward four wire installation. Easy enough for a handy DIYer. They even have a short YouTube instruction video!I purchased this so I could have AC when the power goes out.I have a 4 ton HVAC that drew 106a inrush before installation. Too much for a modest portable generator in a power outage. After 6 learning cycles it only pulls 26.xxa! A bonafide 75% reduction in startup draw! It’s also much quieter now too.I highly recommend!

Great soft start to dramatically reduce your AC starting current
Easy to install on my Lennox AC condenser unit and worked very well to reduce the starting amperage when running the AC and not connected to the power grid. My solar system has 2 PowerWall 3 units and 2 extra batteries, and would cause a very significant voltage drop with the lights briefly going off and all of my PC UPSes kicking in (if I was running disconnected from the grid), with the resulting drop also knocking a number of my microinverters offline for several minutes each time the AC kicked on. After installing this, it's barely noticeable when it starts up.Installation with the provided install kit was simple and only required a screwdriver and some wire strippers. It feels solid and appears to be well protected from the elements for installs where it needs to be mounted outside of the condenser cover, as in my case. The installation video (via QR code in the package) covered the installation well (though it did not mention mounting specifically).

Works!
Works as advertised. Installation was relatively easy if you just follow the video. Took about an hour. The change is noticable immediately. Starting amps are down to 28 and there isn't that loud clank when the motor engages anymore.

This thing rocks
I bought this to reduce the load on my Ecoflow battery/inverters (DPU). My ancient 2T AC was pulling 40-50A when it started up and this was causing a little bit of an overload *sometimes* (I have two inverters so basically 14400W, and my ac was momentarily close to this, so any additional load like a microwave or power saw would put it over). Anyway, long story short this thing works great and dropped statup to 27A (7000W) immediately and within a few cycles it was quite a bit lower than that, meaning I will have no issues in an outage. The herky jerky is also gone so I'm sure that's good for the compressor as well.It is a little pricey and a little bulky compared to other units, but the bluetooth monitoring is quite nice. *super* easy to install, although due to the bulk I had to relocate the capacitor of the AC unit to cram this inside. It looks very watertight so I'm sure you can mount it outside but that seemed worse if you don't have to. The build quality appears excellent. The included cable bushing is crap and I would go with a proper cable connector for a service box or a cable gland if you really want to make it watertight.

Works Great!
The soft start works great, easy to install and set up was easy after you read the instructions :) Just remember that the initial start up of the unit may take 3 minutes after you turn the power back on. I was concerned that I didnt do something correct but all I needed to do was wait. I can barely hear the unit start now and it makes it so that I can use my generator to power the whole home, including the AC, which is great.

It works with 5 Ton AC, easy monitor with BT
This is Awesome! My AC was hard start and destroyed my main AC panel due I have a Tesla wall charger and I didn't know the main issue until I found the Soft Start solution. I purchased one from this Seller. Now it start easier on my AC compressor and also AC pulling only 16A instead of 28-32A. I know there is several brand cheaper but EasyStart Flex with Bluetooth you can monitor the consumption from your phone.I did have a miswire at first and I called Scott, he walked me through the installation was super easy. I finally got my AC running also BT is connected to the device as well.Overall, it's not just saving your energy it also protecting AC compressor. I give 5 star to the seller and Scott very nice and patient support. I definitely recommended to family and friends on this device Soft Start Flex.

This Product Works Very Well
So the hookup was pretty straight forward once you spend the time to accurately identify your compressor terminal/wires as well as the contactor and start capacitor terminals. It was a little tight physically mounting the unit inside my control panel but was able to make it work. It’s worth mentioning that the very first startup of my unit made a very audible and loud initial humming/buzzing sound for the first second which kind of startled me. But after that initial start, it’s been “smooth sailing” afterwards. It still blows my mind that my unit is now only pulling about 20 (inrush) amps with only about 8 (running) amps! Wow!Hoping that this product is durable.Looking forward to hopefully saving some money on my utility bill. Most of all looking forward to being prepared for any power outages as I have my portable generator on the ready and already safely tied into my main panel for not only house operation but emergency cooling as well!

Seems to work but still needs to get better.
This review is a real mixed bag with good and not so good news. Starting with the actual unit. In short, it does work and do what they say it should. Nicely made and packaged. The installation was easy if you’re comfortable working with electrical. On my 5 ton Carrier heat pump it reduced the average starting amps from 184 to 30 and the running amps down to 15 — all confirmed using a Fluke meter. All good! The less than exciting news deals with the installation kit. My opinion is that it is a great waste of money. Several of my friends have bought a unit based on my experience along with the installation kit. ALL WERE DIFFERENT! If you’re comfortable with electrical and know how to splice a wire and use wire nuts, don’t waste the $10.00 buying $0.75 cents worth of useless parts. The installation video is all the instructions you’ll get. All in all it seems to do what they advertise buy still leaves something to be desired.
