Great tool for kids!
My 10 year old has been dealing with anxiety at night and this has helped so much. The different colours help make the breathing exercises easy to follow and the bunny itself is very soft and squishy. The nightlight feature is dimmable to a soft white colour which is very calming. I also love that it turns off after 2 hours so it doesn’t stay on all night. A great buy!

Just try to stop me from addressing my mental health needs now!
I'm a guy in his late 30s, who is on the spectrum, and struggles with both identifying and handling anxiety. After a bit of a health scare I realized I needed to be more proactive in dealing with this issue. I made a conscious decision to not let any perceived childishness get in the way of finding the right tools for my needs. I've always loved penguins. The minute I saw Penny, I knew getting this would be a good idea. While I work on identifying my triggers, I take some time every few hours during the day to take Penny to my quiet corner, and do the anxiety breathing cycle for a little bit, regardless of how I think I might be feeling, and it's been working wonders. It's easy to charge, and lasts a long time. I haven't charged it since I first charged it a week ago and use it multiple times daily. It's got a gentle, squishy feel, and there wasn't any overwhelming chemical/plastic smell when opening it. I use the nightlight sometimes when I need some quiet time, and to change the brightness you just tap the device. It makes a very quiet tone when switching which I personally like, but it's so quiet it's easily missed if you think you wouldn't like that. For perspective, I didn't include audio with the vid in this review because the tapping was too loud for the tone to even register. Tapping for the nightlight introduces a potential bonus for fellow fidgeters to enjoy. The video shows how easily and quickly it changes brightness, but the brightness difference doesn't register so well with my phone trying to balance it. There's two modes, one brighter and one less, and it is more significant than the video suggests. I much prefer just having this portable nightlight on during any quiet time at its dimmest setting, so I would even recommend something like this for those who have similar issues with, "The big light." Something that would have been really cool is a way to choose your colour of nightlight. But I feel at this point I'm being a little greedy. It beyond serves its purpose. Things that are purposefully made with kids being at least one of the targeted markets tend to be made to appear safe, inviting, colourful and friendly. That ticks a lot of boxes in what I think we should all be seeking in our tools to conquer anxiety. While I'm on the spectrum, you don't need that "excuse" to justify buying some "childish" thing. If something about this clicks for you, it's worth trying. Life is far too short to waste it worrying more than we need to! I have zero regrets.

Adorable & helpful!
I thought this would just be something hard that would sit on my daughter’s table to help her breathe out anxiety attacks, but it is so soft & squishy! It’s very easy to use & has helped her tremendously! If your child (or even yourself) needs help with breathing during anxiety attacks then this product is definitely for you!

game-changer in my daily routine
This little Breathing Pal is a game-changer in my daily routine, and I can't recommend it enough. This cute, squishy bear has become a permanent fixture on my desk, and it's been a real help in keeping me on track at work. This little bear has three breathing modes, each designed for recommended uses. For me, the 4-4-4-4 mode is the winner, supercharging my concentration during tasks. What amazes me the most is how the color and brightness perfectly sync with my breathing, making the exercise incredibly smooth. It's like having a personal mindfulness coach right there when I need it. The bear's soft, squeezable silicone material is a joy to hold, and you can give it a good squeeze without worrying about wear and tear. Plus, that adorable bear face adds a touch of warmth to any space. You'll love how easy it is to use, thanks to the clear instructions on the bottom. And here's the bonus: it's not just for grown-ups. My 6-year-old son is also a fan. It helps him unwind before bedtime, making it a fantastic tool for introducing mindfulness to kids. In fact, I might just grab a hippo version to avoid any sharing tiffs.
