These scissors are beasts on chicken, They are large and heavy and heavy duty for a job that requires it. They are a bit hard to clean in part because I am scared of them as they are so heavy duty. Great quality for the money and designed well with excellent grip handles. Would buy again.

I purchased these shears to replace a pair of plastic-handled ones that finally gave out. These new shears are a huge upgrade—comfortable to hold, extremely sharp, and they cut through meat and poultry with minimal effort. The blades are crafted from MV steel and paired with a sturdy aluminum handle. Added features like the non-slip grip, spring-loaded mechanism, and safety lock make them even more convenient. The shears also comes with two replacement springs. My first test was carving this year’s 21-pound turkey, and I was impressed right away. Cutting through the bird felt almost surgical—smooth and effortless. The shears stayed stable without any flex, which speaks volumes about their quality and design. I don't know how I got along without these. A must have!

Feels high quality, solid construction & materials feel weighty - not cheap. I did not use it, though blade is sharp & has some serration on the edges for traction. I'm planning to return because it does not fit well in my hand - it is too large. I'm a woman with average ish sized hands, maybe on the smaller side. I think this would be perfect for someone with larger hands - the lower handle being an enclosed loop would help prevent slipping, but compared to other similar products this one is just slightly outside what feels comfortable for me to hold & use with one hand confidently. Seems like a good value, comes with a couple of extra springs which is great. You can take it apart to replace the spring, but it's not the easy open kind that makes cleaning super fast, this one you have to remove a screw to separate the blades.

Even with wet hands, the grip stayed secure. The safety lock is a nice touch, especially for storage. It keeps the blades closed tightly so they’re not sitting open in a drawer. After finishing the turkey, I tossed them in the dishwasher, and they came out looking brand new. The fact that they’re dishwasher safe makes cleanup simple, especially after working with raw poultry. Overall, five stars without question. Sharp, sturdy, comfortable to use, and they handled the turkey spine with zero issues. A great tool to have in the kitchen for poultry, meats, and general prep.

I am a mad spatchcocker of chickens, which allows for more even cooking between white and dark meat (they are done at the same time), and so was tired of breaking cheap kitchen scissors or dulling chef's knives. These shears are spatchcock-ready, for the spatchcocker in your life, or for anyone who has wanted to become a spatchcock enthusiast by spatchcocking a chicken, duck, turkey, goose etc. (they are all eminently spatchcockable). They seem well-built and are easy to clean in the dishwasher. The price is good, too -- spatchcocking ruins scissors, so if these hold up over the next 10 times I spatchcock something, they will have paid for themselves. Do yourself a favour and get spatchcocking!
