Bought it as replacement remote for Insignia NS-32L430A11. Info says that it would be compatible. Put new batteries in and NOTHING. No instructions on how to set up. Had to research on internet. Followed instructions on multiple site, still does not work. Also, seems to be made of extremely cheap plastic. Packaged in a flimsy 'baggie'. No instructions on how to set up. Don't waste your money with this one. Will be sending it back.

My old remote died. I tried changing the battery and it did not help. I was not sure if the problem was with the remote or the TV but I bought this replacement on the chance that it was the remote. When it arrived I inserted the same battery and it worked perfectly! In case you can't tell I was really happy about it.

Unlike the description given by the vendor, this unit doesn't work with all Insignia TVs, so it's not an equal replacement for the NS-RC02U-10A remote I needed to replace. By equal I mean the following: My DVD-Recorder is connected to the Component jacks and the new remote doesn't offer Component 1 and 2 selection choices. So, I'll have to reconnect my recorder to AUX, Video, or Game jacks in order for the remote to communicate with my TV display, despite the fact that the Toshiba DVD manufacturer stated that its unit works better with a Component connection instead of a Video connection, so I might have to compromise.The old NS-RC02U-10A remote broke down every year; it wasn't the batteries; it's simply a piece of junk. That's why I decided to replace it with the RS-RC02A-12 and hope that the new unit isn't as junky as the first. Unlike the old unit, the replacement doesn't have a back light, so it's hard to operate in dim light or total darkness. However, I prefer the lighter, easier to handle design of the replacement unit. Until I reconnect the DVD recorder, I can only select channels and volume with the new remote. Hopefully, it will work with the recorder and other selections. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I have 4 Insignia TV's ranging in size from 19"-55".I just bought the 55" Insignia TV, and I don't like the new more "modern" remote that came with it.The new remote lacks separate "HDMI" and "TV" buttons. You have to dig through a menu to switch from one to the other.I don't like that at all, as I have Raspberry Pi's hooked up to all my TV's and I want to be able to switch back and forth with 1 button press, not have to dig through a menu.I ordered 2 of these, they work for ALL my Insignia TV's, including the brand new 55" inch one, so I'm happy. It is identical to the remote that came with my 19" & 39" Insignia TV's.I plan on getting several more because I just don't like the newer remotes.There's no codes to put in, just put batteries in and you're good to go with most Insignia TV's.

The product details page on Amazon says that this remote is for "all" Insignia TV's. But the "Input" button on the remote does not control the input source on my Insignia TV model.I called Insignia directly, and they told me that this particular remote does not work for all Insignia TV's. Some of the functions would work, but some might not. Source Remote, the seller, later acknowledged that this remote might not work with my TV model (NS-27LCD).The "input" function is a basic remote function and should correspond to the "input" button on the side of the TV, but this model doesn't. Other buttons may or may not work, but if the input button does control the TV, the remote is useless and doesn't live up to what is promised in the product details.The Amazon product details are inaccurate and misleading. This is why I am giving a low rating. Given the low price of the remote, it is not worth my time and money to try and return it--and I shouldn't have to. If the remote were defective, it would be one thing to get it exchanged, but that is not the issue.Call Insignia direct, and they can give you a model number for a replacement remote.

Worked well with my Insignia TV, and includes the "Zoom" button! My husband and I spent about a year with the TV stuck on Zoom, and our remote stopped working on the bottom half, so we couldn't change it. We had to look up the football score with our phones WHILE we were watching the game. Worst. First world. Problem. Ever. Finally caved and bought this as a replacement. We've had this one for over a month now (in time for the play offs) and it works great. You won't regret it!

This TV remote for Insignia TV certainly meets my expectations! It worked as soon as the batteries were installed. (I had mislaid the original remote after getting the Oceanic box and their programmed remote. Worse yet! When I packed to move I don't even recall coming across it. So I was destined to get up and manually use channel and volume selectors on the TV. Yes, we did that years ago, but we are past that, right?) But after browsing Amazon, I found this remote for sale and read the positive reviews of others. That sold me.This remote is reasonably priced and works great right out of the box and it will meet your expectations too!

This is NOT an OEM insignia brand remote. It does work the same and look the same and is constructed well and does not require anything out of the package other than batteries. No programming. For $6 I'm very satisfied I only wish the seller didn't mislead about it being OEM. It's aftermarket.
