It's good
I had regular kindles more than 10 years ago but got the fire and didn't bother with them. I didn't want to read on my phone. I wanted this but somehow got the Kindle White. I found it heavy with the case so for the first time, I sent it back. I got this. I'm so happy with it. It's very light (lighter than my phone in the case) and you can hold with one hand. Also, the reason I got the white was so I could read at night. It turns out you can read at night with this easily. It has light so you can adjust the brightness. The screen size is adequate and I've read a lot more since getting it. The battery life is decent. I'll add that I had the a Kindle Fire from January 2015 that was still working and charging and I traded that in. I hope this is a good quality also.

I really need color!
Love this 6 inch Kindle. It is light, print is crisp, but not small. Press lightly and pages turn quickly. It is compact, so it is easy to take it in your purse or pocket. I can go anywhere with phone in one pocket and kindle in other. Battery came about 50% charged, and i have read about 1 1/2 books already m. Still around 30% charged. I suggest you get the bundle with the kindle. The cover is awesome. My only request is that I would LOVE this kindle in color. I am a painter and live in color!

A Simple Kindle That Gets the Most Important Things Right
A Simple Kindle That Gets the Most Important Things Right I've always enjoyed reading, but physical books can be bulky, take up space, and aren't always convenient to carry around. This Kindle solves all of those problems while keeping the experience focused on what matters most—reading. The first thing I noticed was how light and compact it is. It's comfortable to hold for long reading sessions and small enough to slip into a backpack, briefcase, or even a larger jacket pocket. The 6-inch glare-free display looks remarkably close to paper, and the 300 ppi resolution keeps text crisp and easy on the eyes. Reading outdoors is excellent, and the adjustable front light makes nighttime reading just as comfortable. Page turns are quick, navigation is straightforward, and the battery life is outstanding. Unlike a tablet, there are no social media notifications, emails, or other distractions competing for attention. It allows me to focus entirely on the book in front of me. The 16 GB of storage is more than enough for thousands of books, and having an entire library available in a device that weighs just a few ounces is incredibly convenient. I also appreciate the USB-C charging and the ability to customize font size, brightness, and layout. Those small adjustments make long reading sessions much more enjoyable. A couple things to keep in mind: this basic Kindle doesn't include some of the premium features found on higher-end models, such as waterproofing or an adjustable warm light. Also, if you choose the ad-supported version, you'll see sponsored screens on the lock screen, though they don't interfere with reading. Bottom Line: This Kindle delivers exactly what most readers need—a lightweight, distraction-free reading device with an excellent screen, long battery life, and enough storage for an entire personal library. For the price, it's one of the best values available for anyone who enjoys reading regularly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Size and screen are great 👍 No option for page turn buttons 👎
If this had been available with the integrated page turn buttons? - it’d have earned a 9.5 star rating from me. The 1/2 star short of 10 is due to a glitch I mention later in this review. I’ve owned so many different Kindle models. The fact that I’ve been a dedicated Kindle user for so many years speaks to how much I love them. I’m pretty fixated on having page turn buttons, though. It’s something I think Amazon’s made a mistake in eliminating from their Kindle options line-up. My 1st Kindle, the K2 (which STILL works) had the keyboard, with page turn buttons on both sides. I guess that spoiled me, as any Kindle I’ve tried since, with a touch screen? - I’ve pretty much loathed. Sure.. this one doesn’t have page turn buttons - but there’re clip-on gadgets for that purpose now. They DON’T work as well as the integrated page turn buttons do, but they’re still better than the touch screens, IMO. This one’s nice - small and lightweight, similar in overall size to my Oasis 8th Gen. It has a slightly bigger screen size and not quite as heavy - though neither is REALLY what I’d consider to be heavy. My Oasis 8th Gen model has page turn buttons and a charging cover with a battery - IMO, the BEST Kindle version they’ve ever offered. The screen on this has been better than the most recent Oasis models’ was. That Oasis screen had HORRIBLE problems with image shadowing - it’d carry over residual shadows from the images on the previous screens - eventually over-lapping so much, they’d create solid black bars. I tried that model 3 times - every replacement had the same problem. I finally gave up on it. The screen on this one is similar to the Paperwhites or older Oasis models. I HAVE been having problems with this “sticking” at the end of book chapters, which is rather odd, as it’s not sticking anywhere else throughout a book. Tap the screen over and over - 4,5,6,7 times. It’ll eventually advance, but when it does, it advances the number of times I tapped it while trying to get it “unstuck”. If I only tap it once?, I’ll wait and wait and wait - it won’t move. At first, I blamed it on the page turn gadget I was using, so I disconnected it and tried just using the touchscreen - and the problem continues. I’ve tried adjusting the settings = page refresh, bluetooth, WiFi, airport mode, done a restart, checked for updates, etc - nothing’s fixed it. It’s gotten so annoying, I’m back to using my 8th Gen Oasis. If I can’t figure it out myself, I’ll contact support - after my frustration level goes down a bit…

The absolute perfect gift that everyone in my life completely loves
This Kindle is so loved that I have actually repurchased it multiple times to gift to my sister and again for a friend. The 16 GB capacity provides more than enough storage to keep an entire massive library of books right at your fingertips. The screen is incredibly crisp and easy on the eyes, mimicking real paper beautifully even when you are reading outside under bright sunlight. The battery life is legendary, easily lasting for weeks on a single charge so you never have to worry about packing a charger for a short trip. It is exceptionally lightweight and comfortable to hold with just one hand, making it a perfect daily companion.

Upgraded from Kindle PW 2015 7th gen and I am obsessed!!
Loving my new Kindle. I upgraded from 7th Gen PW 2015 and it is so much lighter and I am reading more and faster on this. Compared to the new paperwhite, this has clearer text and more contrast that helps me see clearly with some eye issues. Read at night without any issues. Didnt need the white on black. No need for warm light for me.
