Great price for an L2 POE managed switch
So I spent a good hour writing a detailed review but Amazon denied it claiming it violated community standards (?????) Anyhow, I no longer have the photos and the only thing I was able to salvage from the review was this excerpt.Needed this for up in the attic of my garage. I bought it for 4 main features... PoE, link aggregation, VLANS and QoS. I like the visual status screen. My only complaint is that when a port is active, it shows only the lights. I wish it changed the...

Usefull things i buy 2025
I recently got my hands on the Industrial Hardened 10 Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Switch, and I have to say, it’s been a game changer for my home network! With so many smart devices around the house, I needed something that could connect them all, and this switch does just that. What really impressed me was how easy it was to set up. As someone who's not exactly a tech whiz, I was a bit worried about the installation, but the instructions were clear and simple. I managed to get everything connected without any headaches! With 8 PoE+ ports and 2 uplink Ethernet ports, it has more than enough space for all my gadgets. If you’re looking for a reliable and user-friendly way to bring your devices together, I can’t recommend this switch enough! It’s made my life so much easier.

not for professional use. No warranty. They know it will fail.
I purchased 3 of these and 4.5 months later one of them had the main port (main data connection) fail. It cost us a good bit to roll out a truck and diagnose it. We brought in the switch to determine it failed. these switches are not intended for professional use...maybe a hobby where you can easily replace it. Disappointed.Interesting...think about why they do not provide a 1 or 2 year warranty. It's because they know it will fail.

Decent Switch But No Documentation
Overall this is a good managed switch. I needed a POE switch that could tolerate a harsh environment and that supported VLANs. Time will tell if it can survive the heat of a closed garage during a Houston, Texas summer. I gave only three stars for the following reasons:Quality. The first switch I received had 2 bad ports: one RJ45 port and one SFP port. The replacement did work fine. If you buy this switch be sure to test it completely to prevent any future surprises.Documentation. There is a User Guide. But it is just a specification and is otherwise mostly useless. There is no software documentation. I couldn’t find a manual on the manufacturer’s web site. The switch has many nice features, but no information on how they are implemented.Web Interface. The interface is functional. However it assumes that the SFPs are fiber. I used copper SFPs, yet all the displays show them as fiber. There is no status information on POE. So you don’t know which ports are providing power or how much power is being delivered.Console Interface. A USB cable is provided to access the console. However, I couldn’t log on using the credentials provided on the side of the switch. I could watch the boot up information scroll by. Without any documentation it was impossible for me to use this interface.Regardless of these issues, I would still recommend the switch. It’s a good addition to a video network implemented in a harsh environment. The price is reasonable given the switch’s features. However some decent documentation is sorely needed.

recommend
The quality is very good. It would be better if it is directly equipped with a power supply. The effect is very good. There is no signal attenuation.

Works for my light weight needs
I am not a networking expert, but I needed a switch to drive some PoE devices in an unconditioned space. This has done the trick so far. It has a bunch of extras I probably will never use (partially because there's not a lot of documentation on how to use them). I am not sure if this is a good choice for business use, especially if repair or replacement is important. There's a reason why businesses pay extra for name brands. But for my use case, it has done just fine.

Works great with security cameras
Husband wanted to place security cameras in areas of the yard where there's no electrical outlets, and this unit solves that problem. It's very well made, quality construction, though the unit doesn't come with a power supply. The DIN rail mounting keeps it off the shelving unit and keeps air circulating around it to keep it well ventilated.
