Amazing
I LOVE this thing! I seem to have a mountain of cardboard to break down every week from stuff we order that just piles up. Up until I got this I used a utility knife to break down the boxes, not any more, this chops boxes up into easy manageable pieces that fit in my recycling bin with no problems. No more folding boxes and forcing everything in.

I like this tool.
Used correctly it cuts right through cardboard quickly, and the tool's charge seems to last. I previously used razor box cutter. Not having the grip I used to, it slipped out of my hand one too many times, and often enough the blade wasn't fully retracted leaving it exposed when stored. I never liked using it. This tool solved that problem and is working well after clearing out an attic's worth of cardboard boxes, of all thickness, that never want to tackle with the box cutter. One blade change was simple to do with safety key in place.

Fun
It's fun, but it doesn't cut through cardboard like butter, like the ads portray. But it does make quick work of a bunch of cardboard. You will have to replace the blade, fortunately they are easy to get at Home Depot, etc.

The perfect box cutter for arthritic or damaged hands
Out of all of the battery powered rechargeable cutters, the forward motion places, a great deal of strain on the wrist and thumb. This particular cutter requires just a little pulling therefore it eliminates a great deal of strain on the wrist.

Much louder than electric rotary cutters, but still pretty awesome!
I have used a couple of electric rotary cutters before. The first one that I had would make about 70 decibels of noise. And then, the second one that I had would make about 75 decibels of noise. But the BoxBlayde makes about 85 decibels of noise. And that would be my only complaint so far.Anyway, here's some things to know about the BoxBlayde:-- Takes about 2 hours to charge.-- Runtime is also about 2 hours.-- Will NOT turn on if the plug is still in the charging hole.-- Says that it comes with 2 blades but it doesn't.-- Comes with 2 of those guards with the little green piece on them.-- Blade can be replaced by blades like the one in my photo.-- Blade it comes with is like that, but it's also serrated.Anyway, there's no doubt that the BoxBlayde is much safer than the other electric cutters that are out there. And that it's one of the main features of it. But in my opinion, the main feature should be that it's really easy to get the hang of. I've used those rotary cutters for a while now and I can easily tear down a lot of cardboard with them. But it took me a lot of practice to get to that point. With the BoxBlayde though, it's much easier and quicker to raise your skill level with it.

Absolute trash
I managed to steer clear of this garbage tool when it was advertised on Facebook but after trying all other options to tame the cardboard beast in our house I thought what the heck. I won't say anything other than it bogs down on anything other than the thinnest cardboard. Turns out I should've went with my gut and scrolled past this piece of junk.

Works well on light cardboard, struggles and stalls on heavier carboard.
This special-purpose tool slices through thin single-wall cartons nicely and is definitely safer than a utility knife. But it struggles and stalls on heavier double-walled cartons, to the point where a good utility knife gets the job done faster and better. More power and a longer blade stroke would make this tool so much more useful.

Box cutter does as it says!
Just got done with two hours of cutting and it worked great. I bought extra blades with it. The factory blades are serrated and the ones I bought are standard blades and haven’t tried them yet. No muss no fuss, I’m very happy so far!
