Overall the build quality and setup are great, my cables fit into the port and the battery charges. Everything feels solid. I'll start off with my only complaint, and it's a very small one, not even that real. I had to look outside of the instruction booklet to find how to open my controller since I've never done it before. Just keep that in mind as a heads up. Please do not use a metal tool to open it up, the plastic pry included worked, you just need to get the tabs on the sides next to the D-Pad and input buttons, as well as the two below the analog sticks at the bottom of the bubble. As for the product itself, it works, and it does its job. As you can see in my photo, I could've done a better job with filing, but I made sure to check if my cables fit and they do so I'm leaving it as is. Make sure when using the cutting tool to get the pillars towards the charging port hole, and cut around the screw hole as well. Apart from that, it really is just digging a bit and cutting out some of the walls. The cables were a bit scary to install, but they're ribbon and that just comes with the territory.

Works as intended. Took a bit to install on the controller due to filing the hole to make the usb-c to fit in but it was easy. Works a lot better. Works a lot better now when plugged into the PC, no more random disconnect.

I love thrifting and working with my hands. One day, I found a PS4 controller at my local Salvation Army for $7 and figured it was cheap enough to take a risk. Turns out, the controller was just dirty and needed a charge, so after a proper disinfection session, the controller was about as new as it could get. Sadly, I've long since done away with MicroUSB charging cables on my devices and was hoping I could convert it to Type C easily. This ElecGear module did not disappoint! Installation was super easy, controller took a charge immediately, and no issues after repeatedly unplugging and plugging the cable into the USB port. It feels very solid and the LED bar shines just as well as the OEM. I didn't need two, but maybe I'll get lucky and find another controller in the future. Either way, I'm really happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anybody with a PS4 controller!

great tools and everything to complete job but i was unable to get USB-C port to work, put it in controller and had to put original back LED did not work and was unable to charge.

Very easy to install and it's nice that it comes with 2. It's a great value if you want to either fix a broken charging port or just upgrade the controller to usb c. It's really nice that it also comes with the tools you need to open it and expand the opening for the port.

If you follow their instructions it’s wayyy easier to install! Only issue I was faced with wasn’t my own isn’t but the LED LIGHT COLOR of the charge port isn’t the OEM ORANGE ITS A YELLOW! It works great overall! It’s a genius upgrade from the original charge port as it’s a TYPE C!!!!

Took my time with the filing/cutting and it came out really nice. I had read there was two of everything but I did not realize that included the board, which is huge. I used one of the boards to continuously check the port hole fit from the outside. It's a pretty simple set up, just takes some time to get right. I also put in a little electric tape at the bottom because there was a small gap. Solid build, and charges and delivers data just as well as the original board. Also a good excuse to get rid of the old ribbon cable, it was pretty much done for. And no more micro usb cables!!!
