Will the radius guages work on a 5 string bass?

I used these gauges to work on a 7 string guitar, and I think the same logic applies: I still took the measurements from the 6th string for the Truss Rod Adjustment, and string height. When using the radius gauge I sat it atop the principal 6 strings first, and then slid it to over the address the 7th afterwards. I hope this helps!
