Doe's this superseed #5628971 what my owners manual gives for number

The cut off pressure is what is important as this is just a pressure switch rated to 135 psi

Why do these have such an extremely high failure rate? Read the reviews and my own experience.

Mine only failed once. I’ve had it more than 15 years. So far small inconvenience.

What size is the tamper proof torques that is used on this valve?

Thank you for your inquiry! The pressure switch is made with a Non Adjustable – Tamper Proof stem in the switch so that you can not make changes to the pressure switch. We do not recommend or know the size of tamper resistant bit that is used. If you want to change the pressure – you can either use a regulator coming off the tank to control the air pressure down stream and let the compressor build up to what it is suppose to 95 cut in 135 cut out.. OR you will have to purchase a different switch (aftermarket) that is adjustable, that we do not sell.
