Bought this for our grandson's 9th birthday. Putting it together involved lots of critical thinking and problem solving which I believe is critical to his overall development. Also, it provides lots of fun on one battery charge. Great value for the money.,

Tried my best but you have to have proper computer program to be able to download their files to your robot. And no the Crome laptop isn’t good enough. Plus you need to buy a special rechargeable battery for it. This is ridiculous!

Update: I got an amazing customer service experience. They took the responsibility for the whole thing and gave me a very satisfying solution. And my kid got double fun. First review: I was excited to receive this STEM robot and initially, it worked well and provided a fun learning experience for my child. It worked initially with the initial charge of the battery, however, we now realized that the robot would not charge and upon further inspection, we believe the issue may be with the charging cable. It is disappointing that a product that is marketed as educational and designed for children would have such a basic malfunction. I would not recommend this product to others until the issue with the charging cable is resolved

This was a good project to build with my 12-year old but be advised about a few things: - having Lego experience really helps. We had to disassemble a lot of the assemblies and reassemble them to get them just right. There are many pieces of different shapes and sizes and while it is easy to find the pieces, it was not as easy to put them together correctly. The instructions were good, but it still takes quite a fine attention to detail. - the instructions say to attach the head using a very minimalist method, and as a result the robots head jerks back and becomes unstable as you drive the robot. I would say this feature is a poor design but the rest of the robot seemed to go together to build a robust robot. I would expect people will find ways to fasten the head on better. It's possible that designer wanted the head to be tiltable and that's why they did it the way they did, but when you're driving the robot, you don't want to have to keep tilting the head back forward. - the robot did not seem to be programmable. The box seemed to indicate that there was an app that could be downloaded, but in Canada we could not download the app, if there is one. We did not overthink this or stress over it though, because downloading half-finished apps from small companies on our devices is not recommended due to cybersecurity concerns anyhow.

kids loved it! Took some time to build but great toy.

Really happy with this product. My son has not completed it yet, however the instructions are clear and the pieces are great quality. We had an issue with one of the parts, my son broke it, and I contacted their customer support. They were very understanding and had great response time. They sent us the replacement piece in the mail so that we could complete it. Would certainly buy from Stillbird again and recommend them to others. Thank you Stillbird.
