Great starter pedal, built like a tank!
As multi effect pedals go, this is an incredible bargain! Whilst the effects aren’t the top of the line, with some time and patience you can get some really great tones out of this, especially when combined with 3rd Party IR’s.The main selling points for me where its flexibility for both bass and guitar, the compact size, array of built in effects, and it’s build quality - I was amazed by all of these, especially for the price. There are a wide array of distortion pedals, effects pedals, amp and cab sims which means you can really get some solid tones once you sit down and take the time to fine tune everything. The preset tones aren’t amazing (as is the case for every multi effects pedal), but there really are some outstanding patches built in, particularly within the realm of cleaner tones. It is so tiny that it can fit in a guitar / bass bag and means you can travel light, perfect for travel; and its full metal body means this thing is built like a tank, and could easily take a beating and the abuse of live and rowdy gigs. The expression pedal is extremely solid and feels like it will last years, and the ways in which you can program it to an array of parameters is really cool, it’s almost as if having a 3rd foot switch if you are tactical about how you set up your presets.Of course this is by no means a top of the line product, but it’s not supposed to be and doesn’t have to be. It is well built, versatile, and affordable. It is perfect for those starting out, looking for something portable, or for use as a backup - I highly recommend Valetone and the GP-100!

Incredible. Doubles as audio interface.
This has far exceeded my expectations. It also doubles as an audio interface which I didnt realise it had the capability to do before purchase. You can route audio through it and it works well with studio/pc setups. The presets are really good and there’s massive scope to create your own sounds. I updated the firmware when I bought it and use the pc interface as its easier to use. Insanely good value.

Great pedal board very capable of any tone
I was torn between this and of course the boss me insert latest version here. I have a me 70 and love it it’s still great. But I decided on a change this time round and pleased I did. I have got some great Gilmore tones from this unit for marooned the wall tones and more. The computer interface makes tone development easy to use as well as the order of your effects but all modern multi effects have this feature. There seems to be updates also adding new effects and features to the unit. It feels solid and easy to use only time will tell on longevity compared to my me 70 which is still going strong. But I’m more than happy with this unit and would recommend it if you fancy a change from boss

Great option for live or recording guitar
I’ve been looking for something for a while to help get great tone when recording that doesn’t invite lawsuits from my neighbours.Amping up a guitar to record isn’t practical living in a terrace house.I’ve looked at a few tube preamps and things as I really just want to use my existing set of boss/ehx etc pedals but also want a warm amp sound straight into my DAW for recording.I have an old school line6 pod and many other tools I have used in the past but this beats them all so far.As I said in the title this is also great for live work. You can use a cab and send the amped signal straight to that and from the XLR outputs go amped and cabbed straight to the PA desk.I haven’t sent it to a full club PA yet but I have plugged it into my orange amp and amp less cabinet and both sound incredible.I have managed to create a few key clean and effected tones so far that I am very happy with but this thing comes loaded with a number of solid sounds.Amp simulation is great.I initially had to google a few things I couldn’t figure out. Like switching between effects while using the looper - in the looper options switch from pre to post.Another thing was figuring out A/B switching on the expression pedal - just recalibrate and then pushing full forward worked.I’ve been recording chunks of guitar here and there and everything so for sounds great on playback.Very impressive pedal overall. Especially for the price.

Not got any help from Valeton
The GP200 is a good pedal for what you pay. However, I had a power failure during a Firmware Update and the unit is now locked into its 'Update Firmware' screen. I have contacted Valeton a couple of times and they have not been able to help me. Quite disappointing really. So as it stands there does not seem to be a solution to this problem. Be interested if anyone else has had this situation. Cheers.

A great budget multi fx pedal
My first foray into multifx and a good choice for the budget conscious. The limitations are there but easily resolved there are a few comments on you tube about sound lag when switching to a preset profile. But moving the volume pedal to the front of the chain resolves that.I bought red as it was cheaper but there is no difference in performance if it is black. The pc app is a joy to use. I chose this as it had a few extra connections. My 4 stars is due to the physical size not the performance. Highly recommended.

Hot Damn!!!
I really love this unit. It has some many effects, amps, cabinets that you have in one unit. The only small downsides to this there was no harmonizer, synth and a lack of chorus. That is my only gripe, there was an update but did not have those. Maybe in a future update.I am very pleased with the many other options like stereo outputs, XLR outputs. The interface is very simple to understand. Plus the sound is stellar. Only using studio monitors and it sounds awesome 😎👍

Amazing effects in a small form factor
I am a happy owner of a HeadRush Pedalboard but I always found it cumbersome and heavy to carry it in a gun case to all my gigs. For the type of music the band I'm in plays, it is overkill. So I decided to do some research on a smaller effects processor and was initially going to buy the Boss GT-1 but the fact that it's 8 years old made me take a look at the Valeton GP200JR.Similar to the research I did for the HeadRush Pedalboard, I spent several weeks researching my options and decided to buy the Valeton GP200JR. The price is significantly cheaper than the HeadRush and other Line 6 products and the sound I can get from it is very good for the gigs I play. The most important thing to me was the size and weight. I can carry this in a small laptop bag and it's so light to carry. I like it so much that I decided to get the Valeton footswitch caps for it as well.
