typecase Edge Magic-Style Magnetic Keyboard Case for iPad Pro 13 M5/M4

I’ve tried several keyboard cases over the years, and this Typecase Keyboard Case for the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (M5, 2025) is easily one of my favorites. The fit is precise, the keyboard feels responsive and comfortable for long writing sessions, and the trackpad works surprisingly well. What impressed me most is how sturdy and premium the case feels without making the iPad overly bulky. The multiple viewing angles are excellent for typing, reading, streaming, and even video calls. The backlit keyboard is a great touch, especially when working late at night. This keyboard works wonderfully with my new iPad Pro 13 inch. I love the fact that it has many colors to select from for the keyboard and the light can be dimmed. Battery life has been solid, connectivity has been smooth, and everything paired quickly with no issues. It really transforms the iPad into a laptop-style setup while still keeping the flexibility of a tablet. If you use your iPad for productivity, writing, meetings, or travel, this case is absolutely worth considering. Very satisfied with the purchase.

My only complaint is that it is a bit heavy, almost like carrying my MacBook pro around. Other than that, the key board is amazing as I love the backlighting color choices, the touchpad is very responsive. It doesn't take long to charge and I find that I get at least a week and a half of use before charging ( I use this everyday for long periods). It's like having a second laptop.

Update: typecast sent me a free replacement, and they seem to have improved the trackpad design! This tracks my finger much better (though still not as precise as the MK). Top notch customer service as well. I will be keeping the magic keyboard but this case is a great cheaper alternative. Original Review: Man oh man did I want to like this. It is much more reasonably priced as compared with the magic keyboard, and i like the backlighting on the keys. Upon first opening the package I was really impressed by the seeming build quality and materials of the case. It fits the m4 ipad perfectly and has a nice matte finish. The hinge and magnets felt sturdy and strong respectively as well, though it is hard to know how long these will last. The keyboard works great and has nice travel. It does however occasionally space out and you'll lose a couple letters you typed. Not ideal. The trackpad is unfortunately a disaster. It is usable, but it is nowhere near as precise as the real thing. It just has no ‘feel’. It has a fair amount of latency, and sometimes forgets your finger tracking for a second. It is far too clunky to use as a laptop replacement. Really only effective for occasional usage, it will annoy you if you try to use it too much, as everything is slow and awkward compared to a real trackpad or mouse. I ended up trying the MGK in store side by side with this and despite its hefty price tag, I think it is certainly worth the increased cost over this. Returning this for the real deal. Pair your expensive m4 ipad with an accessory in its league!

Case was decent quality but the screen only tilted to one static position that leaves at an awkward angle. On the product page, it looked like the screen was higher than it was when I actually got it. The case does not allow you to position the screen in any other position other than the one low very forward leaning position. I returned it and opted for a keyboard case that allowed more maneuverability in the screen. For the price point, I expected more from this case - in particular, better screen positioning.

i love this case, it’s so cute and very well made!!! it’s going to be perfect for when i do my online college classes

Let me start with the positives. Very easy to use and haven’t had any “performance” issues. Now the bad. It’s insanely thin. I pick up my iPad by the keyboard and it feels like it’s going to snap and bends like crazy. Also after a minute or two the keyboard shuts off, when you’re a student and don’t type for a minute and then you start to take notes and your keyboard has to restart for 5-10sec. It can get very frustrating. Good battery life though

Se ve como un magic keyboard pero tiene diferencias como los colores de la retroiluminación. Creo que le falta tener un indicador adecuado del estado de la batería... el que se pudiera cargar directamente a través del iPad... pero por el precio realmente es un excelente producto.

Have had this keyboard for about 2 years now and is still in amazing condition and holds a charge for over a month.

******Review changed **** Very bulky case and the magnet isn’t strong enough . The keyboard sometimes doesn’t respond either . Disappointed with the purchase ☹️ After the replacement- the replacement came in quickly. Their customer service is awesome. 🤩 It works well . And the ipad stays perfectly fit on the magnetic case . Totally worth it
