Skull & Co. EDC Case: Slim Hard Shell Travel Carrying Case for ROG Ally (2023 Model) and ROG Ally X (2024 Model)-Black

This is my first Skull & Co. item I've purchased and I am not disappointed. This is a very high quality case and well worth the price. However, I did not use this case with the Asus Rog Ally or the Ally X. Instead, I have been using this case on the AYN Odin 2 Portal with the OEM grip. I had a little difficulty finding a quality case that would for the Portal with the grip. I'm pleased to report that this case is almost a perfect fit. There is a little slop but it does not slide around. There are places that are molded specifically for the Rog Ally, but it's close enough to the shape of the Portal where it is not an issue. There is still enough room for a few accessories in the pouch. I currently have wired earbuds, cleaning cloth, a set of controller stick caps, and a 3 ft USB-C cable and there is a little room to spare. I really like the color of this case. It's like a dark blue wash denim look. The plush padding around the case is very soft and the accessory flap is a little small to fully protect the Portal's large screen, but it works and I'm not worried about it scratching the screen, but I do pack away the Portal in the cloth case that was included with the device. The case zipper is also very high quality and the two branded zipper pulls are nice. The carry handle looks unimpressive at first, however, after closer inspection there is a very small D-ring carabiner that can be unclipped and the handle becomes a wrist strap. I can't imagine using it as a wrist strap, but it's a nice attention to detail. This is a well thought out case and I'm sure you will be pleased with it if you own the ASUS Rog Ally, Ally X, or the AYN Odin Portal 2 (with or without the grips).

Perfect, BUT only if you have the Skull and Co Grip case! This case will work if you dont have the grip case, but its meant to be used with that! Its, sturdy and the quality is great. Its works with the Skull and Co thumb grip covers as well! And still has a bit of space above the sticks. With the grip its a snug fit that doesn't mess with the triggers, without the grip its nit as snug but its still not gonna flop.around in the case. Buy this case and the Skull and Co grip and have a perfect setup!

Works great with the case they also sell. It's a nice snug fit. I like that's it's pretty minimal & fits just the device. If you need to also have the charger, this won't work for you.

I recently got an rog ally x from Facebook marketplace and needed a good case to protect my console. I saw people suggesting this brand for cases and I figured why not. I knew I wanted a slimer case and have it be hard shell so the protection is better! It definitely protects my rog ally x and traveling with it is good too! I love the demin design and it functionally works great! Thank you for making a good cases!

I love everything this case has. Everything. Waterproof, good weight, hard build, room for both the console AND the grip, extra protection for the screen, a courtesy microfiber cloth for your screen... And I'm even partial to the color. The only thing I wish it had was a port to charge the console while it was in the case. Otherwise, pretty perfect. The sewing is a little off on the inside flap, not too much, but enough to notice. The grip is cool. I like the color, it feels great, pretty ergonomic. Went on easy, stays on like it's part of the console. Access to all the buttons is perfect, as well as all the vents. Stands up by itself for easy viewing of YT and other videos. Still seems a bit expensive at $20, tho', especially when you compare it to the carrying case and the obvious effort and craftsmanship that went into IT for the exact same price. This thing was just pooped out of a single plastic mold and you're asking the same price as the case? Well, as a complete package, these two parts come together and create a terrific protective, comfortable package for your ROG Ally that I highly recommend. And the denim/purple combo are very complimentary IMHO. It would've been a PERFECT bundle at $30, but at $40? 4 stars.

I actually used this case for my Ayn Odin 2 Portal with the Odin 2 Portal TPU Grip attached. Just got my Portal about a month ago and was looking for a case. Saw mention of this case. Yes, it does fit with a little extra room. But to me it seems fit just fine.

I used this case for a Christmas gift, heat pressing some transfer vinyl onto it with a special image and message. The smooth and simplistic material was perfect for that, and it's a great case to begin with! So whether you're just looking for a simple case that will do a great job holding an ROG Ally or a base for a customized gift, it will work great.

I had a skull& co csse for my steam deck aswell. These cases are the best for my use. Light, hard cases for great protection. Highly recommend these.

This travel case is sturdy and well-made. I didn't think I'd need one since I usually play at home, but with upcoming trips and my kids wanting to pack it in their backpacks, it became necessary. It fits the Rog Ally perfectly. While it doesn't have extra space for chargers or plenty of cables, you can still fit a USB-C cable if you're using a power bank [but not a power bank]. Skull & Co. offers quality accessories at a reasonable price compared to other brands. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase.
