The best way to track how much water your cats are drinking
We've used cat fountains for a number of years now as one way to encourage our cats to drink more water since they usually prefer moving water to stagnant water. This is the first time, though, that we have been able to track approximate water intake for each cat thanks to the RFID collars that are programmed to go with the PETLIBRO fountain. All of our cats have always been rescue cats, so they often are different ages, sometimes with different health problems. The fountain itself is whisper quiet with a stainless-steel drinking tray that collects the water before it drains back down through the filter and gets pumped back up again to the drinking tray on top. Unlike previous water fountains that we have owned, the power cord is plugged into the base, which stays in place, making it easy to lift the main fountain container up off the base without having to drag a power cord behind you when you move it over to the sink for cleaning and refilling. The PETLIBRO app keeps a record of each cat's water intake on your smartphone, making it easy to share that data with your vet. The app also reminds you when it is time to replace the filter to keep the water clean and healthy.

Item is not worth it
The price for what you get and the customer service is not worth it. We bought this water fountain for two reasons: 1-the splash guard 2-the app shows the water level, filter and who drank water. However, there are a lot of cons. The app tends to glitch a lot and sometimes it shows as disconnected or low level of water even after it has been filled. Sometimes the water flow slows down or stops for no reason, so the babies only have access to the water on the plate. There is also the extra cost for the filter. Despite the issues with it, we decided to keep it as the app glitches could be resolved with refreshing the app or resetting it, plus it was helping us monitor the water intake for one of our older cats. The reason why we are leaving one star is because the fountain broke down despite following proper maintenance. It had not even been a year since we bought the water fountain. Petlibro will not replace it because we bought it thru Amazon. The seller supposedly was going to contact me to discuss a replacement but never did, and Amazon basically washed their hands out of the transaction because the return window closed. I honestly think it is cheaper to get one of the regular water fountains and for those pet parents like us that want to make sure your baby is drinking water, just put a camera by the water fountain.

Cat approved and easy to clean!!
We love this water dispenser for our cat!! We have just one cat and it holds enough water to get her through about two weeks!! It does constantly run, there is no sensor on this one.. but it is extremely quiet... its super easy to move, easy to clean and definitely the best one that I have purchased so far!! I made sure to buy a known brand this time. So that I could find replacement filters!!

Great when it works but too many software issues
Pro's: + Holds a good amount of water + Gives me a way to monitor how much my pet is drinking + RFID allows me to see which pet is drinking + Easy to clean Con's: - Constantly needs to be recalibrated - Filter sometimes gets in the way with reassembling While this fountain does what I need it to do, The water level reminder doesn't always rework. Every 3-4 refills, I need to recalibrate the weight scale using the app. On one occasion, the pump stopped working and only restarted after doing a factory reset. It might be because I'm using lower priced filters but the lining up the top of the fountain when refilling water can be a little tricky. It's not hard to do but I'm pretty sure my cat sitter isn't going to do it right.

I love it but my cats will not use it
Writing this review to hopefully help other pet parents. I originally bought this because one of my cats gets dehydrated chronically and I wanted to track her water intake. Let me just start by saying this fountain is really sleek designed well and i honestly had a really good experience in terms of functionality and it being easy to clean and set up. The problem is my cats will literally not use it. I don’t know what it is. I keep it clean per the manufacturers recommendations. I’ve tried moving it to different spots having the plastic guard on and off I’ve had it since December 20 and they have used it twice in 20 days . It really does track the intake and even how long they’re drinking so I think that is cool but for the price, it doesn’t make sense for me to keep it if my cats aren’t going to use it very disappointed but again this is not a flaw of Petlibro. It is a flaw of my cats.

Extremely Disappointed – Expensive and Useless Product That Doesn’t Work
I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to warn other pet owners. I purchased this cat water fountain specifically for its advertised ability to **track water intake** via smart collar recognition—a feature I considered crucial for early detection of potential health issues in my multi-cat household. Unfortunately, this product has been nothing but a nightmare. After a brief period of functionality (about one day), the fountain stopped working properly. The **weight calibration fails repeatedly**, and no matter how many times I reset the unit and jump through the hoops to reconnect it to my network, it simply will not function as intended. The device is **inconsistent at best, completely broken at worst**. I understood there was a **paid service** to enhance features, but I expected the **core tracking functionality to work out of the box**—it does not. Not only does the fountain no longer track my cats' collars, but it’s now **just an overpriced water bowl**. The smart features, which are the *entire point* of this product, are non-functional. Adding insult to injury, I also purchased **three of the brand’s feeders**, and they too have been a complete disappointment (more on that in their individual reviews). I feel utterly **ripped off**, and deeply regret trusting this brand with my money—and more importantly, my cats' well-being. **Avoid this product. Buy the other brand. Save yourself the frustration and your money.**

Warning: They try to sell you filters and a health tracking service Pretty good water fountain, I have it set to run 24/7, my cats don't seem to mind drinking from it when it's running. If you install the app and have your cats collared it can attribute how much water was consumed to the at the fountain at the time and track your cats water intake. The base runs off a USB cord, comes with wall wart. The tank/pump is driven wirelessly so you can just pick it up to refil/clean/W.H.Y. For tracking you have to put an RFID tag on your cats collar (2 RFID tags and collars included), it cannot use your pets implanted RFID tag for incase it gets lost. The RFID tag is the same type used with their RFID feeder, so you only need 1 tag for each cat. It comes with a couple extra filters for the drain on the top to keep cat hair and whatnot out of the tank. Easy to pop out and clean by hand. The App bothers you every 2 weeks to clean the tank and replace the filter. So far it seems worth it to keep the app even with the every 2 week notice.
