My original Dyson battery was slowly dying. I would get about five minutes and then nothing. I got a replacement that lasted about a year. It starting exhibiting signs of impending death as well.This one was easy to install, came with bonus filters and I can already tell it has more powerful suction. How long will it last? I will not know for awhile I suppose. Hopefully longer than a year. I use my Dyson V8 Animal almost everyday for quick little tasks and at least once or twice a week for vacuuming. So far this battery is great!

The battery for my old Dyson V6 died so I had to find a replacement. I'm very satisfied with this battery. It has 3x the capacity compare to the original and cost 1/3 of the price. The package came with the battery and 3 replacement filters. It also came with a screw driver and backup screws which was handy. Very easy to replace and it worked right away. After using for a week, I found it really last longer than the old battery I had. The old one would last about 7 minutes on max mode. This one could last 15 minutes. Save your $150 to buy the original and just get this.
