Bought it to use in my welding classes for prepping metal. Thought I wouldn't use it as much as I do. Pretty good power to cut and grind down metals.

Great angle grinder. I used this to repoint an entire wall without issue. I also like the dust shroud attachment that you can buy separately. It was powerful and felt safe.

I will admit, I was a bit puzzled at first when I tried to find the variable speed dial on this grinder. It's tucked away under a removable dust filter screen on the back, which seemed like a strange design choice. Having to take the filter off every time I want to adjust the speed is a bit awkward and cumbersome. But once I got used to that, it's been smooth sailing. I love that it has a no lock-on paddle switch. I'm used to the trigger kind but they aren't as comfortable when using them for a while. I prefer that they don't have lock-on features for safety. Speaking of safety, I think this grinder has every safety feature I've heard of on angle grinders. It's similar to top of the line DeWalt models, except this one has an anti-vibration handle that the DeWalt models don't that helps a bit with comfort. I can't find any flaws with this model except the weird placement of the variable speed selector, but that's really only an issue if you're changing discs/operations a lot.

This is a heavy duty grinder and it seems extremely well made. It's very powerful. I was perplexed trying to find the variable speed dial even after referring to the manual. The plastic piece that holds the mesh screens on the back end of the tool comes off and just snaps back on. You have to remove it to reveal the variable speed dial. It really had me going for awhile trying to find it! I like everything about this tool except the ergonomics. For me, it's a bit heavy and a little difficult to hold because of it's girth. I have arthritic hands so a lot of that is on me. As for safety, it's superb but I had a bit of trouble dis-engaging the safety switch while squeezing the paddle to start the tool. The cord is nice and long and that comes in handy. If you need a powerful, heavy duty grinder, this tool is definitely in that class.

This Bosch angle grinder feels like it was designed by someone who’s actually used one before—compact, lightweight, and easy to handle without sacrificing power. This product lives up to the quality of the Bosch brand. Its sturdy and preforms exactly as it should. The only downfall was finding the speed dial which is hidden. This grinder is also very loud than my original grinder. It has a soft start, drop control, and kickback control which are great features for safety. I feel like the current cost ($170) is fair and on par with other grinders on the market. Overall, this is a great grinder and worth buying.

Love this thing! The blades are a breeze to take on and off. The motor just hums, and the whole tool is built well enough that in the middle of a grind it doesn't rattle or anything making you feel like pieces will fall off. Having the handle on the side helps you keep your grip when reaching for difficult spots or angles. I have used it for rough sanding, cutting, and even polishing and with all tasks it performed admirably. I highly recommend this tool.
