A good starter kit, but you may find it limited depending on your skill level
👍 What works well The mesh pads — including a 10″ dual-zone snare, three 8″ dual-zone toms, and an 8″ mesh kick pad — give a much more realistic feel and rebound than rubber pads, and are notably quieter, making this kit much more suitable for home practice. Dual-zone snare and tom pads (head + rim) let you do rim-shots and cross-sticks for greater expressivity. The included sound module — with 36 preset kits plus 16 user slots and over 500 sounds drawn from a high-quality sample library — offers a lot of sonic flexibility, covering many musical styles. Build and ergonomics: the steel rack is sturdy, adjustable, and stable. The kick-tower supports double pedals. Setup is straightforward, and the spacing and adjustability are good even for adult drummers. Extras: Bluetooth/Aux-in to jam along with music, USB/MIDI for recording or virtual instrument use, and built-in metronome/recorder/sequencer for practice or producing. 👎 Where it shows its limitations The cymbal pads are single-zone (usually no separate bell, edge, bow articulations), limiting realism and nuance compared with higher-end kits. Some users find certain onboard sounds (especially cymbals or certain drum patches) “only average” — fine for practice or home use, but likely not good enough for serious recording or live performance. For more advanced techniques (like expressive open/close hi-hat control, very dynamic cymbal work, or realistic double-bass pedal feel), the kit may feel somewhat limited — many drummers eventually outgrow it or upgrade to a higher-end electronic or acoustic set. The set doesn’t include a drum throne (seat) or headphones, so you’ll need to provide those separately. 🎯 Overall verdict For a home-use, practice, or entry-to-intermediate electric kit, the Alesis Nitro Pro offers excellent value: realistic mesh-pad feel, flexible sound options, and a stable, well-designed rack — all at a price point far below pro-level electronic kits. For beginners or intermediate drummers wanting to learn, practise quietly, jam, or record demos, it’s a very solid, all-round choice. However, if you aim for high-fidelity studio recordings, nuanced cymbal articulation, or pro-level performance, you should treat it as a mid-range kit — good, but with some compromises.

Great kit - adults or kids - you won’t regret getting this quality kit
This is a lovely kit. I am an ex-drummer returning to a kit some 20+ years later, and this kit is quality. I have it set up in my home office, and you can see it is compact enough to fit with space, and also large enough for playability. From opening the box you see quality - it is packaged so smartly and was so easy to put together and get playing. It took me about 2 hours but many are faster than me. I love the sound variation, and haven’t yet used it with a laptop connected but apparently you can. I have it connected to an Alesis Strike 8 Amp and it is PLENTY loud believe me. It is very customisable, each drum can be edited for volume, voice, and so on. The mesh heads are nice, you get a realistic rebound from them. The pedals are also good but take a little while to get used to. Overall im very happy with the kit and its functionality. I use it to break up my day at my home office and get back into something enjoyable, which is good for me mentally. And getting my 6 year old playing on it too which is great to see! Oh and it does come with sticks, or at least mine did! Enjoy!

Great intermediate kit
This drum set is great. The colour is lovely, like a dark woody red and all features are great for an intermediate player. It was quite easy to put together too.

Solid kit for an intermediate drummer
The kit is good value for money and is very sturdy but only like 1 of the kits sounds good. Very easy to use and a good size for most adults and the mesh heads feel very good.

Buy on its own, not as a bundle.
Just starting out, excellent piece of kit and easy to put together. I bought this as a bundle with the throne and headphones, should have just bought the drums and got the rest elsewhere. Throne wasn't the best and the headphones seemed cheap and nasty. But, the kit itself is aewsome and well worth the buy. Would buy ot again.

Brilliant kit - easy to assemble, really well packaged. I’m starting out and this feels like such a good kit and the sounds are incredible. Haven’t got my head round the controller fully yet but very happy customer!

Excellent both for beginner-level drummers and casual drummers. Responsiveness: - The mesh heads are definitely responsive and feel very close to an acoustic set - The cymbals are good. I still find myself fiddling with the sensitivity to get them where I want them. They're about as close as they can get. But its just really hard to compare these with real cymbals. - You may want to adjust the rim sensitivity - especially if you map non-standard sounds (eg cowbell, splash) rather than rim clicks Customizability: - This kit is super adjustable. I (6' 190lbs) can comfortably play with plenty of room to spare. I can adjust the height and tom position so that my little one can also play - Each pad, cymbal, and rim can also be customized - sensitivity, crosstalk (incidentally triggering a neighboring pad), etc can all be adjusted individually. And, of course, you can change the sound triggered by each pad, rim, and cymbal. Expansion: - The [Nitro Max Expansion Pack](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJRGSWKX) is compatible with this unit WITH ONE CAVEAT: the clamps are a size that will not fit your frame. - I ended up grabbing one of [these](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2MN93D6) for the extension cymbal. And an "Alesis Surge 1.5 Inch Drum Rack Clamp" for the expansion tom (link for the product I purchased is now dead). - This is supposed to support a double kick, but I haven't yet invested much time in searching for one. The kick pad does seem to be (just) large enough to support it. Couple things to keep in mind - This is a simple, pretty basic kit. You don't have a huge array of cymbals, you've got two and a hi-hat. If you want to make more noise, map your tom rims (just keep in mind, accidental rim clicks may make your fills sound real weird). - These cymbals aren't real cymbals. You get one noise per cymbal. There is no bell for a sharp staccato note here and there. Hitting with the tip of your stick on the top of the cymbal sounds the same as giving it a wallop with the side of your stick. This may be my biggest gripe. But also totally expected and accounted for. Is it worth the money? Absolutely.

This was way better than I thought it'd be!! The mesh heads took a bit of adjusting to get the right tension, but that was easy to do. The rack is adjustable so you can have the floor tom lower, like on an acoustic kit. Comes with 90 days of Drumeo and BFD player with an expansion pack, those are extra bonuses worth over $100!! Definitely worth the investment if you're a beginner and just starting or you've played drums for awhile and want an electronic kit.

La considero la mejor opcion calidad precio en el mercado. Un hardware espectacular para el precio y en los sonidos un gran avance a su antecesor de la NitroMesh.
