Are the blades at the very tip sharp enough to get into tiny spaces?

Hi, -the tip is very sharp. The tip goes to a point, so you can get into tight corners. These are the best cuticle scissors that I have, and I have many. You won't go wrong with these. Mine are 2+ years old and still very sharp, like new.

Are these really too thick for fine cuticles?

Not for me, they are fine & high quality and the case is nice.
