These cables are not fast for data transfer. I bought a 500 GB external Sandisk SSD and with the OEM cables, I was getting around 377MB/s READ and 422MB/s WRITE speeds on my 5K iMac. With these cables I only got 37MB/s READ and 38 MB/s WRITE. That's USB 2.0 speeds. I needed a longer cable but these won't work. I am returning them.

I bought these to use with my Samsung phone. One is used in my car from my usb lighter charger and the other is used with my portable battery pack. The cable is sturdy to the the point of being stiff. Tip to tip the cable is a little over a foot in length. Once plugged into your charging source and phone you get the advertised 1 foot length. The cable conducts a fast charge. A recent one hour drive brought my phone from 25% to 100% while playing music and running a map program. Satisfied with purchase.

These cables do *NOT* transfer at USB 3.0 speeds -- as advertised. They are USB 2.0 cables with a USB-C connector on one end and USB-A on the other.Speed tests on my external SSD disk verified this. With the cable the drive came with, it is ~ 270MB/sec. With these cables it maxes @ 40MB/sec.Avoid.

Got this so I wouldn't have a long cord when connecting to Android Auto. This cable lets data flow both ways so works. Some are just like charging cables so if you try your own cable and it doesn't work that is why.Be nice if the phone end was at a 90degree angle so the phone would totally fit by the socket in my car but otherwise works great.

Great cable, gets the job done. The threading on these are thick and strong, so they don't twist a lot. If you are use to picking up your phone often, the threading is so thick that you can't really rotate the cable 360 degrees when plugged in. It's ok though, I don't use it for that. I had them in my car initially, but because of the threading, I use them at my desk now. I'm pretty sure this cable will outlast my phone.

I had nothing but trouble with these. They are the right size, and seemed to be well constructed, but they would frequently disconnect. I tried to use it for android auto and it would constantly disconnect, or just not connect at all. I didnt realize it was the coord until i started using it to recharge my phone. I'd connect then come back 10 to 20 minutes later to find my phone stopped charging. Different coord and no problems at all, for data or charging. Whats weird is i got 2 coords and they both had the same problems, it wasnt even just 1 bad coord.

These are really nice short cables that I wanted for use in my car and with a charging station that I have in my office. No more long cords getting tangled up and in the way. The connection to my Samsung Galaxy S8 plus phone is a little tight and stiff and so is the short cord itself just to let you know. I would buy again if needed.

IT's a well built cable, but the head that holds the usb c plug in place is a bit large for many phone cases and causes it to dislodge while driving and disconnecting from android auto. Very frustrating since that's what I got this thing for. Now to shave a larger opening in my case or shave down this cable.
