Well built stand with very strong magnets to hold your iPad to it. When I get my 2024 M4 13” iPad Pro within about 1/4” of the stand’s mounting plate, it jumps out of my hands onto the plate. The 3 connection pads on the back of the iPad perfectly align with the 3 charging contacts in the plate of the stand. I’ve had no charging issues in the 5 weeks I’ve had the stand. My only complaint is, with some apps, the keyboard that normally appears on the iPad does not appear. Sometimes you have to click on a pop-up menu to make the keyboard appear. With some other apps, that pop-up menu does not appear and I have to remove my iPad from the stand to get the keyboard to appear. I would have given this stand 5 stars if not for this issue. There needs to be an accompanying app to download and install to fix this issue.

First, the build quality is excellent. The charging stand is tight and balanced for landscape mounting/charging. Second, the iPad mounts/dismounts easily and the magnets work well. Third, the USB-C port location on the stand is right in front of the vertical plate (see photos) making it impossible to orient the iPad in the portrait mode without having it tilted way back beyond 45° or almost flat. A simple design change that would alleviate this issue is having the USB port on the side of the block or at least to one side. Normal portrait mode is possible ONLY if you place the iPad upside down. While this will work, I found that iPad OS stumbles with delays and such. Also your camera and buttons would be on the bottom and not in the place you would normally look for them. If they would correct this fatal flaw, I would turn around and purchase it again. As it is, I returned it until this error is corrected.

Durable stand, but charging feature did not work. My iPad Pro battery indicator icon showed that it was charging when mounted, however no progress was made. It actually lost charge overnight while mounted. Also, based on the packaging, it was pretty evident that I had received a previously returned item.

I have the Apple keyboard, which is terrific. But a lot of time I just want to hold the iPad at a readable height without the desktop space taken up by a keyboard I"m not using. This stand does exactly that. And it charges when I want it to (I don't leave the iPad plugged in all the time). The magnetic connection is strong--it's never fallen off--and I can change the angulation. It seems to charge slower than if I had a direct plug-in connection, but that's ALWAYS the case with magnetic charging.
