- Lasio Clarifying Shampoo Keratin Treatment 35.27oz

$40 might seem like a lot for a bottle of shampoo, but the Lasio Clarifying Shampoo comes in a very large pump bottle, that is going to last me for a long time, especially if I only use it a few times a week. The smell is hard to nail down, other than to say “spa like”. It’s woodsy, and floral, and just clean smelling. It smells great while washing my hair, but doesn’t linger afterwards. I have always been a head sweater (gross, I know!) needing to wear cloth headbands when I exercise or even walk around outside on a warm day. The Lasio Clarifying Shampoo really makes my scalp feel clean after I use it, and still has my hair feeling soft. Other shampoos I’ve used may have cleaned my scalp, but then it left my hair feeling dry. It does come out quickly and is on the thinner side when you pump it into your hand, so just do so slowly so none of the shampoo just gets washed down the drain. I thought it lathered enough, but some may not think so. I don’t associate tons of bubbles with something being clean, but how it actually makes my hair (or skin) feel afterwards. This is definitely a product I would order again.

While I did not plan on getting keratin treatments I have been meaning to try clarifying shampoos. I always love after going to the salon that my hair will look good for DAYS without getting gross and I feel like a good clarifying shampoo will do that! First, this is a really thin shampoo with minimal lather especially the first pass around. There was a light scent that I couldn't pin down but just smelled generally like a salon and it smelled nice but sadly did not last too long. My hair health overall is fine but I do get a lot of breakage so I was nervous because I know some clarifying shampoos can be overly stripping. It's almost a good thing that it didn't lather a ton because I know sometimes lather can be drying. When I went to do my second shampoo it lathered a lot more which is typical, but still less than a normal shampoo. I was very pleased that it did not strip my hair of its hydration! I followed with my regular conditioner and my hair felt really nice! It was very soft. I did have a lot more flyaways which I tamed with a serum but I also had more volume - I feel like this seems to be a trade off especially if I air dry. If I am getting volume in my long hairs I'm also getting them in my baby hairs and I have to address it with product but my hair looks good at least and I doubled the number of days i could go between shampoos! It's expensive but it's a huge bottle so good value for the money.

This shampoo works well enough, I've only been using it for a couple of weeks so I'm not sure as far as long term use. I only wash my hair once per week and I do not have color treated hair so I am unsure if this shampoo would be appropriate for it. I usually alternate between a regular and clarifying shampoo every other week or so. This one is gentle enough to be used weekly so far for me without issue or overly drying my hair like other clarifying shampoos have done in the past. The scent is mild and it does lather up but I feel like I have to use a lot more than other shampoos in order to fully saturate my hair. I feel like that may be due to how watery the formula is for this shampoo. But it is very light and I have noticed my hair feels cleaner for longer after washing with this clarifying shampoo, which is the biggest perk for me. I have not noticed any change in texture or shine.

My photo shows my hairbrush beside the bottle for scale: this bottle is huge, the size that might be used in a salon. As others have noted, it’s thinner than most shampoos and didn’t seem to lather as quickly for me. I actually lathered up twice just to get better lather the second time. It didn’t feel particularly moisturizing while using, and I was concerned that my very long hair would feel dry and tangly, so followed up with Olaplex 6 and 7. I needn’t have worried: my hair feels beautifully clean, shiny, and silky, and it seems like the clean feeling is lasting longer than usual. I quite like the light scent, which is a floral-herbal-woodsy blend. I plan to use this shampoo a couple of times a month, with something like Olaplex 4 and 5 in between. Forty bucks may seem like a lot for shampoo, but for the quality and quantity, this Lasio shampoo is really a steal. If you need a good clarifying shampoo, look no further!

This is a HUGE bottle. But I guess it makes sense with the amount of product you have to use. First time I had to use A LOT to get it to lather up. Once I rinsed I decided to do another round of shampoo and this time it lathered right up with just one pump. It did seem to clean my hair nicely. I used a different conditioner and my hair was really soft and felt very clean and soft. I didn't notice a heavy scent which is good for me b/c a lot of shampoos make my eyes itch. Given its size I think it is a good value for the money too. If you need a good clarifying shampoo give it a try.

This is a nice clarifying shampoo. I got it along with the keratin treatment by the same brand, and used it before starting the keratin treatment. I had just come back from a swim workout, so the clarifying shampoo also helped remove the chlorine and minerals from the pool before starting the treatment. I felt the texture difference immediately after using it. It felt like it removed buildup and leftover conditioner on my hair, but it didn't overdry it. I even used it twice to make sure my hair was adequately prepped, and my hair felt clean, but healthy. In the past, I've sometimes had my hair feel like brittle straw after using other clarifying shampoos. This comes in a large bottle with a pump pre-attached, which is very convenient. This should last me a long time. The smell is pleasant and subtle, not chemically.

This clarifying shampoo works well for removing buildup and leaving hair feeling refreshed. The formula lathers nicely and rinses clean without leaving residue behind. I like that it’s designed with keratin and cocamide oil, which helps balance the cleansing so it doesn’t feel overly harsh. It’s also non-irritating on the scalp, which makes it comfortable to use even if you’re washing frequently. The large bottle is a good value if you use clarifying shampoo regularly or before treatments, since it lasts a long time. I did easily wash twice as I do with all shampoos. Overall, it’s effective at clearing away product buildup while still being gentle, and it leaves hair ready for styling or treatments and leaves a nice shine.

I didn't think I was going to like this at all at first. It's very thin, and a TON came squirting out with the first pump. Fortunately (?) none of it was wasted because I needed a ton. Granted, I don't wash my hair as often as some people do, so there probably was some build-up, but, even at that, it didn't lather as well as my normal shampoos on the first wash. On the second, though, it did well. I was a little disappointed after styling with my normal technique and products. My fine, naturally curly, color-treated hair was a little flyaway. Not horrible so, but noticeable to me. My hair did feel softer, so maybe that's the tradeoff for flyaways. The next morning, though, my hair looked much better than it does on a normal second day, with a lot less frizz. It definitely does what it claims to do in terms of residue removal. This will probably never be my go-to shampoo, but for occasional clarifying, it works well without drying.
