2-Inch Bumper Plate, Olympic Weight Plate HIGH BOUNCE

These are great for the money. I used them for deadlifting for about a year before I upgraded to urethane bumpers, and they still look like new. None of the metal center inserts have come loose, although I'm not doing any rough overhead drops. The pros: because they are made of crumb rubber they are very soft. You can drop them on a lot of surfaces and move them around without damaging and scratching things. They also are relatively quit when you put them down or drop them. The cons: like all crumb rubber, the plates are way wider than cast iron plates or even urethane bumpers. This means that if you have bars with short sleeves you wont be able to fit a lot of weight on the bar. Compared to iron, it is also quite a bit more difficult to move the 45 lb plates around and get them on and off the bar, as they are about 4 inches wide and have no handle. This is always an issue with crumb rubber though and is not specific to this product. I eventually upgraded to urethane bumpers for the convenience and because I prefer to use bars with short sleeves. But these were a great starter set and I could have been happy with them for a long time. Overall, they are a great value if you are looking to get a lot of weight per dollar.

These are great. Perfect for my new olympic bar and squat cage, and deadlift-fri3ndly! Yes. They smell a bit. It goes away in a few days.

Great bumper plates. Look exactly like the image. The slot for the barbell is solid, really well made and great vibrant colors. Will be purchasing again when I 'outgrow' this one set.

I'm quite satisfied with these plates. I found them neither smelly nor oily, as some reviews have mentioned. They are the standard Olympic plate size in diameter. They slide easily and securely onto the bar. The plates were excellently packaged and arrived in several boxes, each containing individually boxed plates. Note that the heavier plates (35's and 45's) are substantially thicker than a standard plate, just as the product description indicates. The lighter plates (10's and 15's) are thinner than a standard plate, so I wouldn't drop those from a height without thicker ones to support them, as they would likely warp. Great value overall.

Awesome plates!! There are amazing for what they are! The lighter weights are a little flimsy but they are awesome! Don’t keep them out in the sun, might bend.
