Why did you pick this product vs others?:Needed an accurate salt reading the strips were giving bad readings. Everything else on the strip was accurate. Bought this then misplaced it so only been using a few weeks but works great on salt levels. Actually the only way we use it. Check the readings with the pool store readings. Takes all the worry away about the pool readings. Easy to use too.

We switched to a salt water system this year and the pool store kept telling us to add salt even though the display on the chlorinator said the level was at high end. I bought this to see the salt level and compare it to the other readings.It arrived calibrated so I turned in on and placed in the pool. The values stabilize quickly, maybe in 15 seconds. The salt value was 100ppm less than chlorinator. Much closer than the pool store's value.Also the pH reading was within a tenth of the expensive test kit we have and the pool store's value. It is much easier to read the pH value on this instead of the test strips.The temperature reading is a nice extra too. I didn't need this but it agrees, with a tenth of a degree, of the thermometers I have.Very pleased with the this tester.

This digital salt tester is a reliable gadget for keeping tabs on water quality. It’s convenient having a 5-in-1 tester that covers pH, salinity, TDS, PPM, and EC all in one device—especially helpful for saltwater pools and aquariums. The readings are generally accurate, and the included 12.88 mS/cm calibration solution is a nice touch for getting it dialed in. The only reason for four stars is that the interface takes a little getting used to, and calibration can feel finicky at first. Once it's set, though, it performs great. Great value. Definitely a useful tester for pool and aquarium maintenance!

Mediocre at best after 3 times of calibrating it is still off. I’ll only keep it for a backup but know it’s off a bit.

I'm SO stressed out with this meter!! I couldn't get it to work right from the start so I put it up for a bit and tried again a few weeks later. Than still couldn't get it to work right. It gave different readings (by a lot). Than I calibrated it and tried again. Still crazy readings. I saved up a long time for this product and I'm devastated as my window for return ended just days ago 😞. I need it for my saltwater and freshwater fish tanks. I find it difficult to determine colors on liquid and strip perimeter water tests. The idea is very nice and would make it so much nicer, and faster BUT it just don't work right
