I live at the mouth of the Columbia river gorge and let me tell you the wind rips through here, with that being said we loose power quite a bit. These lanterns as small as they are the reservoir for the oil holds more than you think and outlast the bigger lanterns that I have at home, they’re small compacted and still light up a room when the power goes out. Not to mention they’re slow burning so the oil in the reservoir last a long time. I highly recommend this product, they have saved me through more than a few power outages

Helps light the way in darkness

This listing says large kerosene lanterns, but really, these are about half the size of the large lanterns. This doesn't detract from their construction, and they are made well. I like the easy adjustment of the wicks. It won't take a lot of kerosene to fill the reserves, so a 16 oz. bottle should do the trick. I like that these are less intrusive in my decor. I am happy in general with these small lanterns.

This was a wedding gift for a couple who live in the country and can lose electricity at any time from a storm. It's a beautiful gift to use year round.
