Good quality, compact
I order mine yearly direct from Japan because this particular model is not widely stocked. It's a pity Hobononichi can't get any economy of scale and bring the UK price down a bit.However.Plus points: Compact for shirt pocket, nicely laid out and ideal if you like a full month to view and don't have multiple appointments every day. there are about 170 additional numbered blank pages for extra notes, which is cool.Minus point: Well, not completely blank. There are intriguing-looking quotes in Japanese, taking up about a fifth of each page. I'm glad they are in Japanese because if they were in English, they would annoy me intensely because they are complete drivel, so irritating that I would have to stop buying this diary.Random example courtesy of Google Translate:"Lately, when I walk around the basements of department stores, I sometimes get bowed down to people. Up until now, I had just looked at it, but when someone bowed to me, I thought it might be a bad idea not to buy it.Nowadays, I have to instantly decide whether to buy or not before someone bows to me.I no longer have the ability to stop and listen to the staff's recommendations. I'm embarrassed. That's why I've recently learned to buy things by feeling, without having to talk as much as possible. ・Chika Tanabe talks about heavenly sweets with Ms. Tanabe from Weekdays Borujuku."It's such a shame that they waste space on this rubbish, considering (for example) the rich Japanese poetry and philosophical traditions.
