At first I loved this. I have toddlers and finding the time to train my puppy was getting more difficult as he became older and my toddlers became more rambunctious. His urine was killing our grass and it was like a scaventure hunt trying to find the piles of poop to clean up. He would bark and bite at the tires of the kids bikes. He started not listening to commands and occationally went out to the main road. On a leash he would jump and nip at me. When this collar came it worked like a charm. I was able to get him to pee and poop at a certain area in the back of our yard. I didn't have to put him on his leash at all. He became very obedient. It was a relief that he could spend more time with us without being unruly. BUT we live beside a pond and just about every day he goes in it now that is summer. He is in the pond briefly and the collar was only completely submerged for a breif period of time. The collar within a week started to work intermittently after exposed to water. When it did work the shock just didn't seem to be as strong as before no matter how high the setting. It just didn't phase him. After a couple charges I did ensure the seal was good so it is not waterproof like they say. More like water resistant. The collar design also frequently needed adjusted and tightened. I returned the item but couldn't live without it so I purchased the upgraded version for a couple dollars more. The waterproof and collar design of the petutor I am hoping does the trick.

I have a four year old boxer who is well behaved with me, one on one, but has socialization issues. It’s extremely difficult to take her for walks because she encounters other animals and people. Typically she becomes slightly aggressive and pulls on the leash, towards the person/animal. I am on day two of using the collar to walk her. She no longer pulls on the leash and walks right beside me. As soon as she goes to lunge at other dogs, I give her the correction and her focus is back on me and we continue our walk. Using this training device has been nothing short of a miracle! I have tried many products (spike collar, head collar, harness, herbal supplements for anxiety, etc) and nothing else has worked as well on her behavior in public as this product. Truly thankful!

I have a shelter dog who I try to correct barking at strangers, he is SO protective. I try to buzz him and call him to make him stop but the actual SHOCK doesn’t work. It works whenever it chooses. Would recommend for dogs who parshially listen.

Having purchased 2 other different collars I think this is the best one yet. However, I have found that this collar is water only water RESISTANT. My dog was only in the water a few minutes before the collar quit working. Once I open up the receiver I found water inside. After drying for 24 hours it started working again. Would still purchase again.

BUYER BEWARE. If I could give NO stars then that is what I would have done. The collar did not work for my dog on any setting, even at 100 on shock which I never wanted to get too. Absolutely NO reaction at all. It's a very light shock and vibration obviously. I used the long probes and at one point had tightened the collar so much that my dog did react...by making a choking sound. My family and I have had other brands that we have used through the years that have worked, but this is just a piece of junk. This bargain hunter is kicking herself at this very moment. You obviously get what you paid for, my suggestion and what I plan on doing is to invest a little more and get one that works. Do not buy and save yourself the hassle of returning. Extremely disappointed and returning immediately.

We've purchased a couple of other collars from other sellers here on Amazon over the last couple of years and they have never held up. This one seems better built then the previous ones we've owned. The remote is what drew me to purchase this one. It's way more easier to use then the others. I also like the fabric collar of this on versus the plastic ones we've had. The plastic collars are irritating to our dog and he was always scratching. He hasn't been scratching near as much with this one. This collar works great for my 20lb rambunctious deaf male boston terrier and is a life saver with communicating with him.

This transmitter/collar system is fine and works as described until it is exposed to moisture. It WILL stop working the first time your dog splashes through a creek or takes a swim. It is touted as being waterproof and it isn’t. If you take the receiver apart, you will find that there is no seal between the charge port and the inner electronics of the unit, just a loose fitting rubber plug on the outside which obviously doesn’t work. This product is poorly engineered and falsely advertised. Falsely representing a product should not be allowed to be sold on the Amazon site.
