I’ve used the SUUNTO Ocean Dive Computer on two dives and am beyond impressed by its performance. One of its standout features is how quickly it switches to dive mode when I enter the water—no delays, no hassle. The reliable alert system provides timely notifications for depth, deco limits, gas switches, and ascent rates, ensuring a safe and well-managed dive. Compared to the Apple Watch Ultra, I found the SUUNTO Ocean’s precision and alert tonality to be significantly better. The decompression algorithm is exceptionally accurate, especially during technical dives with mixed gases (Nitrox & Trimix), making it a trusted companion for deep and extended dives. Additionally, its altitude-adjusted flight time tracking is a valuable feature for post-dive safety. The high-contrast display remains easy to read in low-light conditions, and the intuitive interface makes navigating through menus effortless. Nice computer. A few things to note: - The depth works under water pretty well. The above water altimeter is kind of crap. I will sit at my desk and it will fluctuate up to 60 feet throughout the day. It seems to be more off the higher in altitude you are. - The blood oxygen monitor works reasonably well if it is polling for a long time. A spot poll will give you wildly inaccurate results. Wearing it while sleeping works pretty well. - The default tank for the dive computer was set to HP100 instead of AL80 which was surprising. - The brightness and screen resolution are fantastic. The Garmin people in my group were impressed by that.

It is worth every cent. It's easy to set up, I can track everything down to my sleep. I get a 3D layout of my dive sites.

A better dive computer than Descent , screen more visible and the algorithm gives slightly more no deco time. As a smart watch the Descent has better software. You can have the battery changed whereas with Descent you cannot and this swung the issue favor of the Suunto for me.

Loveeee looove this watch! Use it everyday and went to Honduras for diving. Worked perfectly for my stops and recording. Recommend this for everyone!

I really wanted to love this watch. I have a Suunto Spyder and Suunto Stinger that I've had a lonnng time but thought it was about time to upgrade my dive watch. However trying to use the interface turned out to be tedious. It would be better if the face could be customized with action buttons similar to an iwatch. I looked for scuba type faces on the suunto website but could only find more outdoor trail/run/swim type faces, which we can't customize. The heart rate monitor didn't work for me, the interface in general is not useable in my opinion.

Looks great and feels even better than it looks ... Great quality! I'll be diving this weekend and compare the data with other diving computers. Highly recommended

Best decision to go with this dive computer. It was a birthday gift I got to choose. I made the right choice. Happy that Amazon had this available. I've dealt with Suunto directly for accessories since purchase and their customer service has been great. Timeline to get things, fast. Don't let cost scare you. It is 100% worth it.

This Ocean model Suunto watch is designed for divers, I myself enjoy diving but only once or twice per year while travelling in the South in the winter months. BUT, this watch also serves as an excellent sport tracker with incredible accuracy! I am an avid runner, averaging 40-50km a week, and cycle 100km per week. Every single stats this watch gives me is as accurate as my garmin and my Strata app. Suunto seems to make their watch easier to understand from the app and watch itself, compared to other popular brands. Not as graphical or stats heavy compared to garmin, but it shows what you need without the mombo jumbos. It also looks incredibly elegant. Feels robust and premium. Large interface. Feels slightly heavier than other smartwatch i have tried, But I quickly got used to it. The wristband is very long, made to fit over a wet suit. On my wife's wrist it actually fits way to large and the band almost goes over the watch's face, so keep that in mind if you have a small wrist. Easy access to sport mode, timer, alarm, shortcuts, maps (online and offline), ect. Negative: a few minor things which I would like to see fixed in updates... -Music: Why cant you download music on this watch?!?! It has a huge amount of GB available, why not add music download?!?! -Access to maps without having to stop my exercise -Face Wallpaper: more customizable watch face to choose from -Shortcut: long press at the upper button is the only shortcut that can be changed. Would be nice if I could choose my own shortcut on the middle and lower button instead of the control and setting button which cant be changed... -Music download: this watch cannot download any music. But why? It has so much GB room?.... -No Siri voice control? I have not tested this watch in water yet (diving, swimming), which is its strongpoint. I will update the review when I do. But all in all, this watch is comparable to the garmin decent, but looks more elegant and premium quality than the garmin. Its my first time trying a Suunto watch, and certainly not my last. I truly enjoy the simplified things, and this watch does it wonderfully. If it would be capable of having music download this Ocean would be the best smartwatch I had in my life by far. Regardless, I give this Ocean model an easy 5 stars!

I am absolutely stunned at the capabilities and sophistication of this watch! It is by far, the most "intelligent" watch - or computer - I have ever encountered. I first received my diving cards back in the mid-seventies and became familiar with the gear of that time. It has been a number of years since I have been "wet", and I have not kept up with some of the new applications of electronic chips into various equipment components. As I become more familiar with this piece of gear, I am astounded at its ability to monitor parameters of a dive. It comes close to being like magic! It is pointless for me to even start to describe what this "watch" can do. There is not a manufacturer out there - and I mean any one of them - that can come close to the features of this unit. Not one. I would also like to point out to those who may not SCUBA dive, that depth and time are critical numbers to ones life. Not to mention air supply. With this incredible watch, you can safely monitor each of these values and then, so much more. Bottom Line - An amazing watch! I would recommend watching a number of different videos and perhaps talking to Suunto as well, in order to better understand just what this watch is capable of. I don't know what more could be included in this watch. Truly, an astounding piece of technology!

Ive had a few different SUUNTO watches over the year but none that I could dive with like this, would connect to my tank and actually give me live readings of oxygen levels, depth, a route tracker incase I got lost... Theres just so many cool features that im still getting used to trusting and trying... Dont get me wrong, I trust SUUNTO and their engineers, but technology does fail, sensors fail, readings can be inaccurate and I PRAY that when this thing reads 25%, then it means 25%, not 5% or something crazy. So far its been wildly accurate and I havent had 1 issue with this watch. The GPS route tracker thing is sort of scary but ive used it a couple of times even under rocks (where I knew the path AND had rope) it seemed to track my location pretty well. Ive used this watch for 5 dives now, and its been a watch that I just now wear on my wrist daily as it doubles as a fancy fitness tracker. The app works great, its user friendly and stays connected. The display is real nice, super touchy and responsive, it looks great. It does look and feel a little bit big and bulky, like looks like a large faced RM in terms of size so its not exactly discreet, but aside from that ive got 0 issues with it and battery life is ridiculously long when you arent using the diving feature and just using it like an everyday wearer.
