HMD Barbie Pink Mobile Flip Phone. Unlocked

Absolutely love this phone and all its pretty accessories! I stumbled upon this whilst trying to find a basic flip-phone. Originally wanted the pink clamshell Nokia which has sold out everywhere unfortunately and is now discontinued. I could not have imagined how good this phone is as a replacement! It’s so well made and robust with a decent weight to it and the audio is so loud and clear that it sounds as good as a smartphone - both on my end AND the recipients. The screen is nice and big and so picture sharp. Everything about the design and accessories is aesthetically pleasing that it gives off a really positive vibe. I never thought I’d love a Barbie phone so much but I am a retro fan after all, so I guess this was the nearest thing. It honestly doesn’t feel childish though despite the girly theme and it’s easy to see why adults love it too. I was particularly impressed to discover that HMD, the company that made this phone, is the original company behind the first Nokias and being a global Corp explains why no expense was spared with the components. It’s really good quality and the funky back covers, clip-ons, stickers and beaded lanyard just add to the aesthetics. It comes beautifully presented in a powder pink box with two layered trays that turns it into an ideal jewellery box, making the perfect gift. So pretty and easy to use, it makes digital detox a breeze and I’m absolutely loving it. It even has features like Opera Internet, an option to create videos, voice recordings and add music - and the digital radio works a treat. There’s a handy jack for headphones, a secure lanyard hook and SOS one button option and emergency call settings for seniors. It comes with a slot for a micro SD card up to 32GB and contains dual sim slots that fit the modern nano sims. It’s by far the best dumb phone I’ve ever bought and it’s so good for the price. I’ve spent twice as much on more basic phones which weren’t nearly as good. Can’t recommend this highly enough if all you want is a dumb phone with some handy features and cool matching accessories. So pleased and surprised by this. Best purchase in a long time. 😊 👌 💫

I love it!!

So much fun 🤩 very nostalgic & more of a novelty to play around with if you’re like me a 41 year old Barbie girl who loves anything girly pink & Barbie. Took a while to figure out that I had to take off the back & true to the old school Nokia mobiles near impossible to get the back off it lol to put the battery in and a SIM card if you want to use it to make calls or send texts old school style. It’s a bit of nostalgia for me really & takes me back to the good old days before the internet. The snake game is Barbie themed & I’m having fun playing that. Lol 😂 and you can tune into local radio stations and listen to music on it. I’d say if you were buying this for a child that it’s great and a safe way for a child to have a phone to keep them safe away from the internet! It’s fun and practical. I’d say it’s kinda complicated to set up at the start but I got it set up finally and personally I’m not putting in a SIM card I just wanted it for me to play with hahah and I just adore anything Barbie related. I’m giving it a 5 star ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review because I’m just so pleased I bought it and it has made me happy because it’s brought back fond memories of the good old days 💖

omg i love it everything on the phone works perfect battery life is GREAT you can add 2 sim cards in there older people would find this very easy to use you can make the icons big. also comes with stickers two more backings mini charms and a wrist strap and charger on the box DISCLAIMER IT DOESN'T COME BEDAZZLED WITH GEMS I DID THAT MYSELF

I have a problem with scrolling through my smartphone a lot, whether it's through random pages on google, or social media. In order to combat that I decided to buy this phone just so I can make calls and texts (and play the snake game, which is Barbie themed too!!!). This phone is honestly the perfect solution, as a Barbie fan and a massive fan of the colour pink! Also, the screen is so nice and crystal clear, and the phone itself is great value for £38 - although I do wish the build quality was slightly better. Overall, this phone is gorgalicious? gorgtastic? and works really well if you just need a break from your smartphone - I would highly recommend to any Barbie fan!

Great phone helps me stay off social media

Don’t normally do reviews but I am obsessed!!! Comes with a box you can use for jewellery and has so many accessories including a case and rhinestones you can design the phone with. Amazing 1000000/10

I’ll just briefly state my use case…I was considering a ‘dumb phone’ for a while as it annoys me that smartphones have taken over so much and we’ve become too dependent on them. The recurrent threat of having digital ID foisted upon us was the final nudge I needed to give it a try. I really cannot fault this phone for the price. It’s a fun and yet practical basic phone for calling and texting and it works very well for these with very decent sound quality on calls- I even prefer calls on this to my iPhone. The screen is perfectly good, the battery life is also very good although this has dropped off a bit from new to a few months in, it would be very easy to have a spare if needed as the battery is very accessible, but it will easily last a couple of days, maybe more. Texting is a blast from the past with t9 input, if you’re old like me you will be dusting off ancient skills, if you’re young then buckle up for an education in ‘what we had to put up with before smartphones’. The UI is Barbie branded just like the phone and there’s no way to change the theme if you get Barbie’d out, it’s basics only like the old days but easy to navigate and everything is intuitive and easy to find and operate. It has a radio, an mp3 player, calendar, very basic camera, , voice recorder, alarm, stopwatch… and there’s also’ digital balance tips’ and a meditation app thing which I thought was a bit silly but you may like. The endless pink does get boring but that’s ok, the idea is to unplug isn’t it? In my attempts to do just that I did hit some walls with this level of basic, if it had a hotspot this would have solved some problems for me, i missed maps and a few other modern features. I did go back to my iPhone after one month thinking may instead get an android flip as a compromise, but i have since solved some of these problems by having a sim in the car head unit so I’m giving Barbie another go. The phone comes very nicely presented in a jewellery style box with a beaded wrist strap, charms, stickers and a pink charging cable (it’s just usbC so very convenient) and would therefore make a lovely present for a Barbie enthusiast, young or not so young. It looks like a toy which is very cute, at least at first, and I have had quite a few laughs. Tbh I mainly chose this for the amazing price, it is incredible value for money, if you are really into Barbie it is the perfect choice. I’m using the Barbie again but thinking of getting another one, the phone’s great, but Barbie I can leave in my childhood (seeing as I’m now 52) and I might get a standard one. The non Barbie equivalents sell for 50-100% more though and so you see how good a deal this is, especially when considering that this one comes with accessories.

It only works when plugged in very sad about this.

Battery died after 1 week. Phone only works while plugged in, and only just. Replacement was not possible (according to Amazon Cust Care) so have returned phone. Very disappointed as this was a present for my daughter.

These are not sealed. You can see the batteries through the joint in the case. The plastic gasket is too thin. No use for use in damp or wet conditions, never mind caving, as printed on the box. I got them for inside tents or the campervan, as the red light doesn't attract bugs and lure them in. Good for that use, but probably useless for outside use as condensation will get in immediately. V poor advertising, and I wonder how the quality control operates in that factory.
