Powerful lights!
Excellent lights! I honestly wasn't expecting much when I purchased these because I've bought solar lights before and they've been hit or miss. I hung them on the top of my fence posts on both sides of my house. The range of the motion sensor is amazing, probably 30-40 feet. The lights are extremely bright too. You can completely adjust the lights to go straight across or have the sides turn to an angle. The solar panel is also easily adjustable. It comes with brackets, screws, and anchors but I simply used two screws right into the fence post. There are four holes but I really didn't need it to be that secure and I can move them easily by simply loosening two screws. I'm not sure what you would need if you are attaching it to vinyl or concrete siding. They were so affordable and easy to install, I'm probably going to order another set for other corners of my house. Highly recommend.

Easy to set up and configure; puts out bright light
I ordered this solar powered security light to provide some illumination on our back deck. The hardwired motion detector floodlight in this area finally wore out. Rather than going through the hassle of hardwiring a new one, I thought I would give a solar powered LED light a try. This light folds up pretty compactly and is shipped in a small box. It’s smaller than I envisioned, but it still throws off a lot of light. There’s really no assembly involved. You just screw the mounting bracket to the area of your choosing, unfold the light, and slide it into the bracket. You want to install it where the solar panel can get at least 8 hours of sunlight. In my case, I installed it on one of the wooden cross beams that forms a trellis above our deck. You can adjust the angle of the light and its individual panels to cover a wider area if desired. There is a button on the back of the light that can be used to adjust the light for different settings, but an included remote control makes this even easier. You can configure the light to turn on only with motion at maximum brightness, or you can configure it to stay on continuously with a lower light intensity. Obviously, you’ll get the best battery life if you set it to come on only with motion. With this setting, it turns off about 30 seconds after detected motion stops. On its maximum brightness setting, this lights up a significant area of our deck. Admittedly, it does not illuminate as well as a hardwired floodlight, but it works better than I expected, especially for its small size. It certainly works well enough for my intended purpose. Since I only just now set it up, I have no way to comment about its service life. As inexpensive and easy to set up as it is, if it holds up even just a year or two it will be money well spent.

Super bright lights that have a wide field of motion detection.
These are amazing and supremely bright. I installed these the other day on a walkway i have that has NO light whatsoever. Installation was as simple as screwing the mounts to the wall, the lights then slide into the clip and lock in place. Removing them, is as simple as pressing the tab and lifting the light. I am using the first mode which is turn on 100% when motion detected, otherwise they're off. I waited till dark and started up the path. I was at least 10' away from the first light when it turned on and the path was lit as if day. Before I was out of the first batch of light, my second light detected movement and lit that portion of the walkway up. These were just what I was looking for and are so worth it. I was afraid that as a solar light it would not be bright enough, but trust me, these are BRIGHT! I bought another pair just to light up further on the walkway where my porch light isn't as bright as I would have liked, but these will definitely do the trick.

Amazing Light under $20!
After looking at many lights and their details I chose this one at just under $20. I often remind myself “you get what you pay for.” I tend to stay on the frugal side of purchases. When this light arrived my excitement was instantly quieted, as the box was nothing more than a very small cube. I thought oh great, it’s like a nightlight, just a cute replica of a standard sized one. Oof! Same thing taking it out of the box. So it sat on the counter for a week or more. However, the area I needed light for was blind dark now after neighborhood changes in lighting. This is where my two vehicles are parked. Okie so here it is folks… I finally mounted this light above the large dining room window that faces my parking area on the side of my home. I would (and plan to) purchase this exact light again. Even the first night or two I wasn’t yet impressed. But this solar powered and needed to really get that good charge and we were in some gloomy weather days. Light was not heavy feeling at all but seemed quality in how it was put together. This was more than easy to mount and can be done just about anywhere you have in mind, took only minutes. Like the larger units this lil guy has the three light panels and can be adjusted with a great degree of positioning. The sensor picks up movement perfect for what I needed, all the way on the far side of my second vehicle! Because I mounted it above the dining room window I can walk up to the window from the inside and the sensor catches this and lights up! Which I love for taking a look out there without going out :) I chose the model with remote. That’s great when I want to change the main setting for type of use, of which there are three and all useful. I keep the remote in my vehicle. The output of light is actually really fantastic! Again, per its size and what I needed. Having adjusted the two side panels to a standard degree the coverage is quite a span and lights up both vehicles fully as well as giving light from corner to corner on that side of my house and past the vehicles. It is plenty bright without blinding you at any time of onset or while on. I was very concerned about a light being too bright. Especially in motion sensor modes, thus pi**ing surrounding neighbors off all hours of the night, as some bedrooms face my place. Or the neighbor who pulls in same side as my parking spots. So if your goal is to blast any intrusive motion in an area as part of your security then this isn’t like being on the sun and blasting them in a manner of surprise. Lol. Which I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of light and still brings that element enough for me but respectful to surrounding area. I LOVE this little light! It is perfectly effective. I def recommend and will purchase again!

So far, so good
This review is after two weeks of use. I'll update it if necessary. I bought four of these to provide a bit of illumination, for security and aesthetic reasons, in our otherwise very dark backyard. There's no electrical power back there so I was looking for solar-powered options, preferably with motion sensing. The problem I've had with similar products is that they are either too dim or don't last late into the night. The ground based flood lights were also too directional. I wanted to install them near the top of a 6-foot wood fence. They consist of three light sections that are adjustable laterally and vertically. That's a plus, as it allowed me to spread the light over a broader area. There are 3 modes -- I set them for 30% continuous power with full power when motion is detected. Installation was simple. Two screws on the bracket and the unit slides onto the bracket for easy removal. My fence is hardwood so I didn't need the long screws and wall anchors that were provided. I've been pleasantly surprised that they stay lit all night. Now this is August and the days are long and sunny here, so we'll have to see how long they stay illuminated during the winter, but none of the other products I've tried have lasted all night even in ideal conditions. Yesterday it was cloudy and rainy with only got a few hours of sun late in the day, and the lights still stayed on all night. 30% power isn't very bright, so to cover an entire yard you'll need a few of these. I plan to add two more for a total of six. It's not for lighting a football stadium, just to provide some atmosphere and security. When motion is detected they are VERY bright for about a minute, then switch back to 30%. Nitpicking: I wish there was a way to adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection. I was originally going to put a couple of these on the outside of the fence, but the street is only 15-20 ft away so every car passing by would set it off.

Not That Bright
First, these are super easy to install. But they’re not very bright. Yes, they do appear bright at first, but they really don’t light up the area as much as you would think they would. Additionally, I’ve noticed that they become dim rather quickly. I have it on the first setting which is supposed to be the brightest. By 11pm they aren’t bright anymore, they look very dim if they cut on, even though it says they can last up to 12 hours in dim light mode. They barely light up a small area. . It says they’re the brightest in the market… they’re definitely not.
