Bought this for my 13yr old son as his second drone. He absolutely loves it. Small but mighty. It zips through the air, acrobatic moves, good battery life and range. Camera quality is surprisingly good with how small it is.I'd say it's beginner friendly. Quick, easy setup and simple instructions. It's best used indoors in my opinion. You can use it outdoors but just be cautious of the weather. A gust of wind can send it for a ride. LOL.Only thing I would change and it's not even a big deal is the color. Outdoors being a small black drone can be a little challenging to keep track of. Bright neon tips or something easily seen would be very helpful.

I recently bought the FERIETELF Drone, and I’m really happy with it! It was easy to set up and fly, which is great since I’m new to drones. The controls are simple, and the drone flies smoothly, even in light wind.The camera is good for the price. The drone stays steady in the air, and there’s a button to bring it back easily so you won’t lose it. I also like that it folds up, making it easy to carry around.Overall, this is a great drone for beginners or anyone looking for an affordable option with a camera. Definitely recommend!

A word of warning: don't buy this drone if you're expecting an easy set-up. I bought this drone as a Christmas gift for my nephew thinking it would be a good beginning drone for him based on the reviews. Now that good weather is finally here, I attempted to set-up this drone and test fly it. Owning four larger drones myself, I can honestly say this Ferietelf Wing-12 drone is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever attempted to fly. Based on the provided link, the app that gets downloaded is written in the Chinese language. Since I don't read Chinese, there's no way to understand the control names on the screen, so that sucks. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app two more times but I still get a Chinese version of the app. And trying to get support for this drone is as big a joke as the app is. I finally gave up and put this piece of crap back in the box. Sadly, the return period for this drone expired, so now I'm stuck with this piece of crap. At least I'll have the fun of setting it on fire and watching it do a slow burn, which is the way I feel right now.

Not only is this drone fun to fly, I know it’ll level up my content creation. I got home to my husband playing with this too so if you’re looking for a great gift for him, THIS is it! Directions were clear, shipping was fast and overall if I need to ever purchase another one I know where to go! TYSM :)

The large instruction booklet is difficult to interpret and lacks many details. The instructions say the batteries will display a red light while charging and the red light will go off when they are charged. It also warns not to over charge them. The supplied cable has three pigtails so you can charge both batteries at the same time. I put both batteries on to charge and the red lights came on. I checked them over the next few hours and the red lights were still on. The next morning, the red light was still on. I installed one of the batteries and got about 5-10 minutes flying time, then the drone returned to its liftoff location and the controller was beeping repeatedly. I inserted the other battery, same scenario. I checked the batteries in the controller (the AAA batteries) and they were fully charged. Also, I downloaded the fly app but I could not sync to the camera. I'm no wiz kid with high tech stuff so maybe that was due to my ignorance, however, I had another drone a few years ago and was able to connect to its camera with no problem. Also, I had to perform the rotating steps to coordinate the GPS and Gyro thing before each flight if the power to the drone was turned off. On the good side, it was very powerful and sophisticated. The return to take off landing feature is great, just keep in mind it will return directly to the takeoff spot regardless of trees or other obstacles that may be in its path...ask me how I know! I returned it only due to the battery problem, otherwise I would have kept it.

This little thing has is super easy to use, and the video is really clear considering I'm only now starting to become the drone-flying-expert I wish to be! I have crashed it and watched my husband crash it and watched our neighbors crash it and have even seen a professional pilot (my uncle) crash it, and it just keeps on going. All the little pieces have even stayed on which is a little bit of fantastic. So the instructions say not to go over, like, 60 feet. I think it's maybe because it's tiny and you can't really see it whenit gets up really high. However, I flew it up and above the height of a bridge that goes over the Monongahela River and was able to land it at my feet relatively easily. Really, we have gotten our money's worth in hours of entertainment and only a little forced hiking to find it.

I’ve wanted a drone for quite a while but was always nervous about making a big investment. This little drone was a great choice. The price was at a nice spot to get into the hobby so I took a chance. It was easy to set up and I was hovering around the yard in no time. Battery life is good and having a spare one made it easy to swap out when the juice got low. The case is well-made as well and is great for storage. A great purchase for a beginner like me!

Great beginner drone. Too many drones, even low end ones try to pack too many features into their product and do not focus on the basics. This drone does not have any of that, no following, no circling, no gps which is a good thing for a drone like this. The camera is ok, it is 1080p but I imagine with a small sensor, this is a tiny drone. Because it is tiny the noise footprint is very low. Because it is tiny you will not want to fly this in the wind. Learning curve is almost non existent, read the quick set up and you're ready. Fly time was very good, over 10 minutes, compared to other larger quadcopters that is very nice. Again, overall great beginner drone
