COVERGIRL - Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Eyeshadow - Pure RomanceI had some hesitation after opening the package and finding such a difference in the shades I received (see photo) and the shades I thought I had ordered. But after scanning the bar code (and trying very hard to read the teeny tiny white printing on a pale pink background on the back) I have come to the conclusion that I did not, in fact, receive the wrong colors. So while I was hoping for mauvey pink tones, what I got, as you can see, was a lot more lavender/purple with gray tones.I considered returning it, but figured since I'd gotten it at a good price, I'd give it a try, if I hated it, I'd pass it along to someone else.Well... to my surprise, I really liked it. The colors are sheer but just pigmented enough that you can put them on and see them on your lids without having to spend 5 minutes with a blending brush to tone down the color. So you can definitely build to the depth and amount of color that you want.The quality is very nice; it looked just as good at 5 pm as it did when I put it on. The colors are soft and creamy and go on easily. I didn't notice any smudging or fading.If it helps, I am fair-skinned with blue/gray eyes and cool undertones, and while I am not normally a fan of purple shades (I am much more comfortable with nude or neutral shades) because they tend to be too bright for me, I don't mind these. I am considering ordering some of the other shades, but hesitant since I don't know what colors I will actually end up with.But other than that, I would recommend them--but maybe check them out in a store first and see how the colors in the picture compare to the real thing.

Can’t go wrong with cover girl .. their eye shadow is great ! Goes on easily and doesn’t fade after a few hours .. I have sensitive eyes and does not bother them at all ! Love this product !

I’m old enough to remember Covergirl’s naturals line of eye shadows from the mid 90’s - they were universally flattering colors that applied smoothly, blended well and lasted all day without creasing or smudging. I hoarded those eye shadow singles for years because nothing else in the drugstore tier of cosmetics options was on the market (and trust me, I tried them all - I get easily dazzled by pretty things…don’t we all, friends?) These new Eye Enhancer trio shadows are close to the singles I treasured - for all the same reasons. The colors flatter all skin-tones and are neutral enough for day wear but can easily transform into sexy smoke show eyes with a quick smudge of liner and another coat of mascara. The pigmentation is what you would expect from an enhancer; these aren’t meant to go on thick. They bring out your eye’s natural beauty and add soft shading and they blend very well with good brushes. Not a lot of product fall out, which I appreciate. I hate dropping a pan in the sink and having to sweep up the chunks and press them back together or have eye shadow dust all over the rest of my cosmetics.So far I’m loving all the new Covergirl Enhancer products (ahem, those new blush and bronzer bricks are massive and incredibly versatile! My children’s children will still find product in the pan because they are that big!) and am finding myself appreciating that real treasures can be found in drug store brands again. Great value for the money. You’ll want to snap these up in all the colors!

I was looking for a new eyeshadow palette with cleaner ingredients and decided to give this one a try. The colors are pretty and generally have a good color payoff. Some of the shades apply light at first, but is buildable to get the intensity you want. My only downside is that the shimmer can be a bit much. Overall, a solid palette to try out for the price point.

The shades are great. It's blendable, easy to remove, but stays all day until removed.

I really love this eyeshadow kit "Shimmering sands" I will keep buying til I cannot anymore lol it blends very well, and I love the colors in this trio.

When ordering this eyeshadow set know that it looks nothing like the one I received. Nothing.. The only color that is the same will be the very first. The second color is a very dark brown and the other two colors are much more purple tinted. On that note there are some positives. One it is glittery, so if you like that you'll ne set. Also it lasted all day on my lids and it does blend well. The size is standard. I ordered it twice so I will keep it. Customer service acted quickly and took care of the problem promptly.

Richer pigments than expected for the price point. Colors as applied are mostly true to how they appear in the palette. Great for experimenting if you've never tried more dramatic pigments. Color has decent enough staying power and the palette packaging is thin and easy to carry (and not so expensive it's traumatic if the powders break up in transit although that hasn't happened with this yet). Nice color array for bringing out green--lovely match for hazel eyes. Would give 5 stars if there were a matte highlighting option included instead of both the light/white powders being shimmer.

Although there are other cheaper ones in the market, I chose this because it’s talc-free. Also there is a little compartment for the applicator. I find it very convenient. I cut double-ended cotton buds (into 2) to replace the sponge applicator once it is worn out. Very happy with this purchase.

Beautiful colours! I have light skin and green eyes and these colours are so flattering. I love the middle shade in my crease and above as a sheer wash of colour. I use the lightest shades on my lids and inner corners for a little brightness. If you like heavily pigmented eyeshadow, this probably wouldn't be for you. If you're like me and want a more sheer wash of colour that still shows up, you will probably love this. It also aging skin friendly. In my 50s and no issues with that. I think these shades would suit any eye colour. This will be my easy, go-to for a quick and beautiful eye look and I think all my other eyeshadows will be neglected now. Definitely will repurchase.
