This is the best one. I can sand it down to size and it stays the same color. I bought a different brand for a lighter look on my classical and had to restain it after. It fits perfect on a dreadnought, I put it on my parlor guitar and put painters tape all around it to protect my guitar. I used a razor blade knife to cut the excess sticker that was hanging out, then sanded it to the edge of the guitar. Just play with it first before you pull the plastic off of the sticker. I place it where I want it, then put painters tape on each side to guide me. It's super sticky, so placing it can be difficult if you don't give yourself a guide.

I'm happy with and cannot recommend this guitar armrest enough. It is incredible how much raising your arm off of the soundboard of your classical guitar improves the resonation as you play. It is beyond mpressive how much value such an inexpensive accessory has brought to my midrange made-in-Madrid guitar. Understand that you will have to sand it down. It is designed to work for a range of guitars as I think they mention between 39' and 42" and most Spanish made guitars will be 1 Meter, which is 39 and a fraction inches. That said, the body curvature is unique to each guitar but I don't think it's a means to complain about this aftermarket product. I installed this armrest in combination with a number of other improvements I was making to my relatively inexpensive guitar. I upgraded my guitar's tuners, I sanded down and restained my guitar's fingerboard, and replaced and sanded down my guitar's new saddle and bridge. In the context of upgrading my guitar, this was a component of it and was well worth it. Understand that it is unfinished and you have the opportunity, like I did, to stain the armrest, to sand it and customize it and finish the armrest to make it a part of your guitar. With that said, I couldn't be happier.

This is a project, a kit, not an arm rest. I have the finishing products so I went for it. Sand with 220 on down to 1200. Overall you can turn this into a sweet rest, but it fit too far back on an Eastman OM body to be a keeper. If you don't like it, slide a pick between it and your guitar and it comes right off. If it fit 2" further toward the neck, it would have been perfect. I do think the guitar sounded better with it on.

For those who don't know exactly what they're looking at here, this is something you want. It's as simple as peel and stick, and it will instantly improve the volume and true acoustic quality of your guitar. It's channeled so that the adhesive edge only actually sticks to and makes contact with the very edge of the guitar's binding where the soundboard is reinforced from beneath and doesn't affect the vibrating surface at all. It extends over the soundboard about 1/2 inch and provides just enough of a gap where you don't ever touch the soundboard while playing while still maintaining a comfortable posture. This is incredible for the cost. I can't stress enough how much I wish I'd had this from the beginning. It's a night and day difference in tone with the guitar. Every single high end modern guitar I was looking into purchasing came with one of these in some fashion so I bought one for my Cordoba C7 CD/IN and rave to everyone about it. Just buy it and thank yourself later.

Arrived broken. I glued it back together and attached it to my guitar, and it almost immediately broke again in another place. I tried to remove it, and the velcro was stronger than the glue attaching it, so it shattered into too many pieces to repair. It came with no instructions of any kind, so I didn't know if I was doing anything right or wrong at any point.

It works and fits my guitar fine but I had to sand, shape, and finish myself. If you don't mind to do that it's a cheap and easy way to get a nice piece of wood to make an armrest without tools.

This works really well, but you'll most likely need to do a little work to get it to fit properly. It took about half an hour of sanding down one end to match the curve of my guitar, but I was pleased with the result. The reviewer who said it won't work on any guitar because of the placement of the adhesive is incorrect. The design is how it should be, with the double sided tape adhering to the very edge of the soundboard where it meets the side.

The design fits my Cordoba C10 perfectly, but there are simply too many defects, i.e. dings, scratch marks, in addition to slight discoloration and warped edge. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, especially those with high-end guitars. You're better off getting a John Pearse amrest.

It took a lot of sanding to get it to fit perfectly but the result is amazing. I replaced the double sided tape for the acid free kind. I used some lemon oil (the same stuff I put on the fretboard) to make it match the rosewood already on the guitar. I haven't noticed an improvement in tone but it's definitely much more comfortable. This is a great upgrade. Thank you

Well I gave it 5 stars because after a lot a hassle & remaking plus some expense it looks blooming brilliant and was overall cheeper than me carving one from an ebony blank even if I could have found a local ebony supplier. The supplied item is not made out of 1 piece of ebony coloured rosewood but 2!. After I'd stuck the armrest to the top of my quite expensive guitar the top lamination of ebony fell off (about 30 seconds after fitting). In doing so it revealed the rest was made out of 2 layers of ebony only held together with a very thin bead of clear adhesive. I had to remove the remaining adhered lower section by carefully cutting the wood off from the original double sided tape with a sharp modeling knife (large sigh of relief when I didn't markethe soundboard). I then carefully removed the very stcky remnants of the tape from the soundboard (more relief). I was then going to stick the 2 pieces of wood back together with a thin coat of extra thin superglue but realised the 2 seperated pieces had a different curve radii or radiuses. The 2 mismatching pieces would have had to have been force bent to enable them to be glued together during original manufacture - it was always going to fail! At this point I decided to cut the lower backing veneer in half, then I glued to cut halves of the lower edge bead onto the undamaged top venneer. At this point I totally recarved the freshly formed mis-match of pieces, finishing it with 400grit wet & dry paper, followed by 600grade, 1500grade, 3000grade , 5000grade and finally 7000grade fine detailing wet &dry paper. I then bought some really good double sided tape from a local supplier and refitted the remade rest before finishing it with highly buffed french polish. I was lucky - my guitar wasn't damaged. I salvaged the timber which I'm pretty sure was genuine ebony not rosewood. I'm fairly good with my hands and had some materials around that many people wouldn't. I had a day to waste because I'm retired (as of 18 days ago). The whole process was more stressful than the replica Harry Potter broomstick I'm making for my daughter the shaft of which is made from 10 alternating bent wood layers of mahogany and oak bonded with epoxy. So assuming up for a challenge and this all sounded good to you why not try for yourself, OR NOT!
