A better battery powered security system than most of the other options...
I needed an alarm for a house I'm renovating that presently doesn't have the electric hooked up. This basically limited me to battery powered units only. Of the battery powered systems I researched, this one seems to be the best as it is a zoned system that requires a security code to disarm. Most of the other systems are standalone alarms that have an on/off switch right on the side (making for a very easy disarm) and/or don't do multiple zones. Why is this one better? If an intruder trips a sensor in any of the zones, the main unit alarms. You must then disable the alarm at the unit itself. With a typical door-type alarm, the intruder is *right there* to disable the unit if he/she is determined enough. This unit requires the intruder to actually go to the main unit, wherever that might be, to disable it with the SUPER LOUD siren blaring the whole time. This brings me to the couple of issues I have with the unit.1) Disabling the main alarm is fairly easy: enter the passcode OR remove it from the wall and remove the batteries.2) While entering the passcode, the alarm goes silent: this allows the intruder more time to physically disable the unit. Granted, the unit will begin alarming again if the passcode is entered incorrectly or it takes too long to enter the code, but this does allow for more time to do so without an ear-piercing siren going off.To mitigate the two issues, there are a few options.1) Install the main unit in a tamper-proof box with holes in it to allow the sound to escape, but not allow it to be physically accessed.2) Install it where it's very difficult to get to (up high on a vaulted ceiling?).**Either of those options basically preclude the use of the keypad and require you to rely on the remote for arm/disarm.3) Install the main unit centrally to the house or where it is more difficult to find forcing the intruder to seek it out and disable it (and hopefully encouraging him/her to leave instead). This means the door sensor built into the main unit won't be used for it's intended purposes.4) Install the main unit on a door/window and hope the intruder doesn't enter at that location and immediately disarm it.Ideally, there would be separate sirens for the alarm which, when activated, would require a disarm command to be sent from the main unit to shut them off. If the system was designed this way, the siren(s) could be mounted out of reach and disabling/destroying the main unit would mean the sirens kept going off until their batteries were dead or they were physically disabled. You could then still place the main unit as a door sensor without worry that it could be easily bypassed.Even with these shortcomings, I think this system is great, especially when the price is considered. Practically speaking, most intruders are likely to run as soon as the alarm starts going off. It's the determined one that might take the time to thwart the alarm system.Other than that, the system comes with four door sensors that are already paired with the main unit. Installation is super easy. Re-programming it is not difficult (I added an additional motion sensor and changed the default passcode without issue). Range on the sensors is no problem in my smallish (1200sqft) house. For a small, inexpensive, battery-powered security system, this is the one to beat!

Love it. Manual is a bit broken English
Love it. Manual is a bit broken English, but I was able to figure it out. Just wish it had an alarm delay upon entering home, not just when arming. remote works great. I was able to reset password with no issues. Only been installed for a couple days. will change rating and review if something changes.

DIY Easy to install and program. Great support staff by email. LOUD enough to wake a half deaf person..
This system is very easy to install. I love being able to set and disarm all of the remote transmitters from the master keypad which serves also as a sensor. It is LOUD. I am very hard of hearing and it will wake me up if I am asleep. We live outside the city limits and law-enforcement response time is too long to help us. We would be just as well to call 911 in case of an illegal entry. This system would freak out an intruder. I would recommend it for anyone who has small children who might slip outdoors without parental knowledge. Further, I highly recommend it for caretakers of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Lewy Body or any type of Dementia patients in a home setting. I accidentally hit some unknown combination of buttons shutting the door and caused my remote sensors not to work The company was eager to help me get my problem resolved...email address in instruction booklet.

Very limited range, works inconsistently
I set up the system on three doors to my house. I tested the system to ensure it worked prior to installing the actual sensors, then also after each sensor was installed. The system seemed to be working; however, I armed it a few days later and went through the door (forgot I had armed it) - I quickly realized that the alarm should have gone off, but no alarm. I tested it several times and only one of the doors would work consistently, the others sounded the alarm only a fraction of the time. Obviously, this level of reliability is not acceptable for a system I am relying on to work 24/7. The two doors that did not work consistently are only 20 ft. and ~25 ft. directly away from the main control, so this system must have an incredibly poor range. I am returning it, but I guess that's what you get for a cheaply made product. I would not recommend this product unless you are alright with it not alarming sometimes.

Stopped working after one week. Cheap garbage.
Worked well when first installed. But it stopped working after one week. The alarm fails to go off after arming. I only have one sensor on the door. Even when placing the base unit within three feet directly in front of the sensor the alarm fails to go off when triggering the sensor by opening the door. Worse still, the alarm goes off randomly for no reason even when no one has touched anything. The company fails to respond to my emails so I will be filing a complaint with Amazon.

Keypad makes it a winner!
Extremely pleased with product! As everyone mentions, watch the YouTube video for setup--it did require a bit of fiddling to understand what this system was capable of, but don't give up! After much research opted for this diy system, mainly for peace of mind at night. Biggest selling point for me was the keypad--other systems a criminal can literally just flip an off switch on unit to disable. And though this comes with a remote (ordered an extra, works great) it's nice to know that if you lose the remote or it's not immediately available, the keypad can still control everything. We have a lot of storms and power outages here and didn't want to rely on wifi--this is loud, simple, and perfect for my needs. Will be adding more sensors. Really is a lot of bang for the buck! (Tip: don't do set up around children or pets--it is LOUD.) Worthwhile purchase, thanks!

One installed and worked perfect from the start
Bought 2 of these. One installed and worked perfect from the start. The second seemed very touchy. Had to have main key pad perfectly aligned to work. But seems to be working good now.

Economical and functional
Small, sleek, loud. The best part is that the components arrive already paired. Easy to set up (if you watch the YouTube video). It's easier than it seems in the pamphlet.
