Awesome buy
This is awesome. Had fun setting it up. Painting is fiddly but tbh paint it how you want it. Once set up and the cress starts growing it makes everything come together.

Great fun
Easy instructions to follow and will replant with new cress seeds once the current crop has completed. Really quite effective as the roots start to creep down (planted 3 days ago in pic)

You get seeds with it
It all looks good but it's a Christmas present

Good idea but lacking a bit
I love the idea of this, and the design of the Upside Down/Right Side up with the cress and its roots is a great concept. But unfortunately it's just let down a bit by the execution. Though perhaps I expected too much, maybe it's only intended as a toy for a child? Good points - the plaster casting was easy, and the cress is growing well. The Bad points - it smells very earthy and unpleasant, it's the clay I think. Was awful to start with and has reduced, but you do get a big pungent waft when you remove the top. The paint brush in any craft kit ever is always rubbish, and this one fits in with that. Way too big, and you can't therefore accurately paint the small details. The paint has come off the Upside Down house in the water, which I guess matches the vibe but quite annoying to spend ages painting it, and drying the paint, only for it to come off within a day anyway. Also they maybe should make the upside down house a touch smaller, because the curve of the terrarium and the water magnifies it. The stickers of the bats look quite lame but you can just not use them or take them off. But it's a cool novelty, I'd just say put it somewhere you can't smell it to start with, don't bother painting the Upside Down house, and use a better (and smaller) paint brush to do the Rightside Up house.
