Any answer saying this appropriate for 40 degree water is utterly incorrect. 2/3 wetsuit is for very long snorkeling (3-5 hours) in tropical (Caribbean) short dives in temperate (eg Mediterranean). 5mm for deep but short scuba or long snorkeling in temperate waters. 40 Degree is on the edge between 7mm for short dives and dry suit for a couple of dives. In 40 degree water you want 7mm with 5mm to 7mm hood, gloves, booties.
