This shipped fairly fast and my 6 year old got this for his birthday. For 6 years old, he is able to control this much easier than some of the other helicopters we have had in the past. He really enjoys playing with this outside and has been happy with the way it flies and how easy it lands.

Grandson loves it

We got this for my son’s 7th birthday. He was so excited we took it outside, without reading any instructions we made it fly so high and then lost control and boom, it was gone with the wind to faaar away to some other neighborhood. It lasted only 20 seconds. Everybody was so sad because my son loved it so much and fun lasted only 20 seconds. First thing first : don’t fly it too high outdoors, because you will loose control over it and it’s so light in weight that wind can take it fly away. After it was gone, we were looking for it everywhere around other neighborhood, where I was guessing the location of it. 4 hours of search and nothingg! Everybody gave up on it, then I got reminded that it had a blinking light on it and it The Blink Could Be Visible during night time. It actually might be easier to find it during night instead of day. And Boom! I was right ! I found it on top of the tree. I was so amazed that It was still blinking after about 6 hours (What A Powerful Battery!). I ran back home, got remote, and actually was able to fly it and land it safely. OMG how my son was happy (you can only imagine)when he saw that I found it!!! It’s been about month, he is still playing with that every day. It has to batteries, all the time we are charging one while playing with another. 2 batteries together will be around ~25 minutes fun. It has fantastically realistic control, turns and flight. Even I as an adult enjoy playing with that. Only one thing, if you don’t want to loose it don’t fly it outdoors, at least don’t fly it too high. Because it really flies almost as high as real helicopter. Amazing gift, amazing toy for kids. Ever since we only play with it indoors. Thank you for making it that Cool! I do not know if I got a dud or not but this one is much slower in every direction than the older versions that I own. I suspect it's built that way to prevent crashes because it is also much more stable that the S107G model but the downside is that it cannot fight against even the slightest of Wind. This is most certainly an Indoor unit as any wind will just blow it away. The upside to this version is longer batter life and you can change out the battery plus it is much easier to fly which is a bonus for young kids. The older ones had a permanent battery built in and is very sensitive to every input. Also this unit will not start if you have it in your hand! It must be on a flat surface to start the rotors. I went nuts thinking it was defective because I was holding in my hand to test if it like I do with the older models and it would not start. I was almost ready to pack it up and return it when I tried it on the floor and it started up right away. I suspect that it has some sort of ultrasonic sensor on the bottom.

I've flown a number of these helicopters ranging in a number of price ranges and there are many that perform quite well for the price. I did originally have an issue with my first helicopter, but was able to make an exchange. The first helicopter didn't ascend straight and let's just say we had some issues....But when the replacement came, I had no problems whatsoever! There are top bumper buttons on the remote that allow you to take off and land automatically. And the two speeds are pretty noticeable; though fast isn't all that fast for semi-intermediates. The battery seemed to last roughly 10 or so minutes for me and was long enough for my needs. Though I have flown some helicopters at the $20 range that flew just as well, The construction of this product with alloy does seem a bit stronger. Though time will tell how much that matters for an aerial collision.
