Ryzensets 7 9700X Processor (8 Cores/16 Threads) 65W DTP, AM5 socket, 40MB Cache, Up to 5.5 GHz max boost frequency, no cooler

Picked this up in May to go into the PC build I did with my youngest daughter (fair’s fair, her sister had hers before). The Ryzen 7 9700X slotted straight into the AM5 board without fuss and has been rock solid ever since.Performance is superb – 8 cores and 16 threads make light work of everything we’ve thrown at it so far, from schoolwork to games. It boosts up quickly and stays cool, especially paired with a decent aftermarket cooler (worth noting this one doesn’t come with one in the box).Power efficiency is good too – 65W means it’s not guzzling power or generating loads of heat, which makes life easier when you’re aiming for a quiet build.All told, a fantastic CPU for the price bracket. Reliable, quick and future-proof enough that I don’t expect we’ll be touching it for years.

decided to upgrade my 5800x to the 9700x and although on paper its not much of an upgrade (same core and thread count and a smallish clock bump) it really dose feel like an upgrade. the new system responds faster (much improved IPC) it has a snappiness to it that is pleasant to use. the CPU also runs cooler than my 5800x and uses less power. it has been an investment you do need an AM5 motherboard and DDR5 ram. the item arrived well packaged and in good condition. installation was simple (be sure your motherboard has a compatible bios) and i have had Zero stability issues and my RAM runs at 6000mts. I am happy with my purchase would buy again.

It was time to rebuild my old PC as it was 13 years old with very few changes since the original build and so wanted a reasonable CPU without spending a ridiculous amount of money and this fit the bill quite nicely.The 9700X has 8 cores / 16 threads and powers through any of the tasks I need it too without problem. The CPU doesn't require a huge power supply. It is fairly light on power consumption compared to some other CPUs on the market.When paired with an AM5 motherboard it is very simple to install. Just slip into the CPU slot and secure in place.The processors base speed is 3.8GHz and it boosts upto 5.5GHz for those more demanding tasks.It doesn't need an overly large CPU cooler to keep the CPU temperatures under control. With that said I was able to reuse my old CPU cooler (the manufacturer supplies updated mounting brackets for AM5 specifications).So far I haven't had any problems with it and it has performed excellently in all tasks given to it.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700x is a fantastic processor. Now is it good as the 7000x3D, counterparts? No it’s not, but it does keep up well and the differences can be quite minimal from my experience. The CPU, runs cool and boosts well. Additionally has a much better memory controller than its, 7000 series counterparts. So you can achieve stable and coherent ram overlock. Mine is stable at 7000 MTS. Which is blazing fast, and with the faster ram you notice a sizeable difference in FPS. Additionally, it works well with a range of GPUs. I currently, use a RTX 4080 Super. They appear to be happily working together. I have tested it with an RX 7700XT and above.I will say the con is the price, but it will undoubtedly drop in price. Overall I really like this processor, works well and does what you need it to do. I will advise, that you will need to enable PBO in the motherboard bios to get the full potential of this chip or any 9000 series chip. But there are plenty of YouTube tutorials that can support with that.I hope this mini review helps and clears up some of the mystery of the 9000 series chips.

I mostly use my pc for gaming/streaming and this CPU has more than enough power to handle whatever I have needed to do. Overclocking was easy, I rarely see the CPU go above 65C and have had no stability problems.

I upgraded to this from an older i7 8700k which served me brilliantly. This chip really is excellent. You’ll see a lot of information online pushing you to the x3D chips, which is fair as those CPUs are really the top dog when it comes to gaming. However, this CPU is superb.It runs extremely cool, very easy to install. I only had a small issue with using it as I had to install a new BIOS on my board, but that wasn’t too much of a hassle. I knocked a star off for the lack of cooler with the product, but any old cooler would suffice.I’ve even undervolted my chip and overclocked it for easy performance gains with a reduction of power usage even further. This chip is excellent by modern standards and at a good price. Highly recommend it

Ignore the neysayers this is a beast of a CPU for the money. Many expert reviewers pumped out negativity early on and it's stuck, but I'm here to tell you they're wrong. With just a little tweaking (less than 5 minutes) I've got this benching at 902 single core and 9225 multi core on CPU-Z bench tool. Thats comparable or better than a stock Ryzen 9 9950x at £500, and on a cheap air cooler too. Look up a video on YouTube titled "5 minutes over clock: Ryzen 7 9700x" to see how but it really is not difficult. I paired this processor with the MSI Gaming Plus B650 motherboard, and 2*16GB Lexar Ares Gen 2 DDR5 RAM.Again, ignore the doubters who bang on about 7800X3D, it's power hungry and heats like a furnace. 5 stars

Fürs Upgrade habe ich mich für diese CPU entschieden. 8 statt 6 Kerne zusammen mit mehr IPC und mehr Takt ein ordentliches spürbares Upgrade ohne unvernünftig Geld auszugeben. Bei den ganzen Meldungen sterbender 9800X3D auf verschiedenen Boards (Asrock, Asus) war das meiner Meinung nach die günstigere Variante, sollte was schief gehen.

発熱もそんなにないので扱いやすいですね。コスパはそれなりに高いと思います。

This CPU powers my home server, so I deliberately went with the efficient 4nm manufactured processor, with a staggering 65W TDP. It is amazing.
