Fruit and Vegetable Carving Knives Set C, Yellow, 11 x 1 x 5 inches

These are great small knives. Perfect for vegetables and fruits. My daughter is a trained chef and I saw she used them, so I got them too. Was a good decision.

These really make a difference in cutting fruits so that they are attractive and neat. Have been using for months with no problems. hint - In the original package, I leave one side of each of the shrink-plastic around each knife uncut. That way after I use the knives and they are clean and dry, I can slip them right back into place and use the same packaging to store. No worries about accidentally nicking anything, since they are quite sharp. Also the little one doesn't get lost in a drawer.

Wow, The set is very good for the price. Actually, I bought a set many months ago, and I hid them from my son for fear he might break them. Then I couldn't find them but still remember how sharp they were for small jobs in the kitchen; so I bought the second set. I am very happy with them. No need to spend hundreds of dollars on knives while these inexpensive sets could do many veggie-decoration jobs.

Purchased this knife set to see how my wood carving skills would carry over to fruit and veges. Carving a Wood Spirit onto a zucchini is actually easier than cottonwood or oak. I then progressed to following some of the YouTube Thai carving sets to create some unique flora and fauna from fruit and vegetables. CAUTION: Now, I am being asked to dress up all meals. The blades are very very sharp. I used my wood carving finger cots which kept me from slicing my fingers with these sharp knives. If you do not have finger cots, five or six bandaids wrapped around your thumb and finger will work. Great product for the price.

These are fantastic knives for fruit/veggie carving. Decided to make a fruit and veggie floral centerpiece at a wedding. Purchased two sets--one for me and one for a friend. We both like these and are grateful for them. They make carving fine petals and such so easy. We need more practice, but these are such a help. These were a decent price for the faster delivery.

Diiese Messer sind ihren Preis wert! Das größte Messer, das Santoku-Ähnliche, kam mit einer Schärfe daher, wie ich sie in dieser Preisklasse noch nie im Lieferzustand erlebt habe. Die Klinge ist extrem fein ausgeschmiedet, 4 mm von der Schneide entfernt beträgt die Dicke 0,33 mm (Null-Komma-Dreiunddreißig). Das ist sportlich! Die anderen beiden Messer sind nicht ganz so extrem, aber immer noch gut brauchbar. Wer sie schärfer braucht zieht sie halt selber ab! Die Messer sind KLEIN und daher mehr für feine Arbeiten in relativ weichen Früchten gedacht und dafür HERVORRAGEND geeignet. Ein Wort zum Stahl: das ist der bekannte 420er, der heute beinahe als Billigstahl und teils als verrufen gilt. Das liegt daran, dass manche Hersteller, um Reklamationen zu vermeiden, das Zeug nicht richtig ausreizen. Soweit ich es beurteilen kann, hat dieser Hersteller solche kleinlichen Bedenken nicht: der Stahl ist ordentlich gehärtet und fast ausgereizt. High-Carbon ist es natürlich dennoch nicht, man wird regelmässig nachschärfen müssen. Ich kann diese Messer nur empfehlen!
