Seemed to work well
On a recent trip to India we used this UV bottle to be sure our bottled drinking water was free from pathogens.

Nice insulated bottles, UV cleaning questionable
If you are in the need for insulated bottles, these look well made with an attractive design.UV light and cleaning.One of the caps has a sanitizing UV light. Please read the instructions that come inside the bottles, see pics. They tell you to clean with baking soda not only to remove odors when new, but also as a method of regular cleaning and using a bottle brush. Not sure what the purpose of the UV light is. I certainly would not rely on the UV light for cleaning and their instructions suggest it should be cleaned with baking soda. The light is on the bottom of the cap so the light shines only in the bottle well below the top of the cap and mouth of bottle. If people were drinking from the bottle, this is where I would pay extra attention cleaning. As suggested, a bottle brush is definitely needed unless possibly it is only used for water.The opening is an inch due to a small "ring" just below the mouth of the bottle. Take this into account if you want to use ice. These bottles have the smallest opening that I have seen, although I have not researched insulated bottles. If you are looking for a smaller bottle mainly used for drinking water and no ice, this might not even be an issue.

Don’t waste your money.
Just get the LARQ. This only worked for one use and died. Would not take a charge.

I enjoyed this product but ultraviolet failed twice.
The initial ultraviolet cap failed after a couple of weeks and KIWI replaced the cap and power cord and it only worked for about three recharges and now has also failed.

Charging was hit or miss and the tops did not fit snug.

Quality bottles
Bottles are heavy duty, and when dealing with possibly questionable water sources, a little extra UV light can only help. I have used the UV light bottle on a few trips, and I am very grateful for the added protection.
