A blend of classic with sci-fi
The Time Machine, written by H.G. Wells, is a sci-fi classic that explores the possibility of the future in a philosophical way. In this book, the story follows the journey of the time traveller who travelled to the year 802,701 and his discoveries in the future. I will rate it three and a half stars as the book felt slow at times although it's under 150 pages. The possibility of the future fascinated me most. If you want to read a sci-fi with classic vibes that is short, you can give it a try.

Well worth the read.
As it often the case with classic literature made into films, the book is different than the film, more complex, nuanced, truly Wells at his best. This is a relatively short book with time travel a fascinating theme, easy to read and enjoy. This particular paperback is well constructed and was a pleasure with which to share some time.

Not a complete edition
This book is only part of the story, the original had 16 chapters, this copy only has 12 chapters. Very frustrating to only be given an edited, shortened edition.

Before my time but understandable
I assumed when I bought this that, because it was published in 1895 that it wouldn't be easy to read, How wrong I was. My lesson learned from this is great writing is understandable and engaging for generations to come.
