Must read, if you want to excel your thinking level or find the logic of questions...
Just bought this book and it came today, and don't think that based on the picture in Amazon, the book would be an old edition... This is the 2026 reprint and as you have heard from everyone, it is fabulous for the ones interested in pursuing BTech or BS and great for Jee prep supposedly like everyone says... But I highly recommend to not rely on this solely since you should buy a set of series like physics galaxy/cengage or your coaching's modules but read the theory since it is the one book theory and concept builder sufficient and which is like making you a free thinker... After reading this book do the objective 1 and 2 exercises and then your modules and pyqs and then any other ref book if you're preparing for jee advanced... Also there were few dents in cover and pages but it is alright and I thank Amazon whole heartedly and the cooperation โค๏ธ

EXCELLENT BOOK ... GO FOR IT... BUT..........
HC VERMA is the in library of almost every serious physics student.... And it certainly deserves to be... The concepts are very well explained in this book and also the problem sums in it are superb ... Excellent for competitive exams like JEE.... The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is that... This books misses some definitions to terms... Although the meanings of them are well explained..... And also We usually think part 1 is for class 11 and part 2 is for class 12... But it's not so... The book has most chapters of class 11 and some of class 12 like optics.... The rest of the chapters of 11 and 12 are in The second part.... This created a slight problem. like its sequel
This book, like its sequel, are very straight forward and to the point. The best way to describe them is a mix between a Schaum's Outline of Physics, and a typical (think Halliday/Resnick, Serway etc.) engineering physics book. Short explanations are followed by examples, then at the end of each chapter are tons of more "worked examples," and then three levels of problems sets- all with answers!
