Positive review Title: Powerful steam and quick results I’ve been impressed with the Tefal Express Essential steam generator. The 120 g/min steam output is strong enough to tackle heavy creases, and it heats up quickly so I can start ironing within a couple of minutes. The Xpress Glide soleplate moves smoothly over cotton and linens without snagging, and shirts look crisp with fewer passes. The water tank lasts through a long session, and the controls are simple and intuitive. It’s a bit bulkier than a standard iron, but the performance easily makes up for the extra size. Great value if you want faster ironing and better results.

Best iron I've ever had.

I needed a new steam generator to replace one that only lasted 2 years and costing a lot more. The moral of this tale is don't spend the earth on appliances. This particular one was listed as being "used" with a £30 discount. It was not used at all just that the box was a bit battered. Would not hesitate looking at "used" items in the future.

Broke after a handful of uses. No steam but then shoots out scalding hot water. It’s also heavier than others I’ve used.

Nice compact lightweight iron at a decent price but, and a very big but, it is not easy/comfortable to use. Where the steam "tube" enters the iron the entry gooseneck isn't flexible. This means that when you are using the iron it is difficult to hold the handle as the steam tube and entry neck get in the way. On my previous Tefal iron the gooseneck rotated through 90 degrees and out of the way. Not on this one. Hence a poor rating and not a recommended buy.

Great Iron - Powerful Steamer- Easy to add water

Great product for the price. The water chamber is very easy to refill and replace, it seats very solidly. Nice storage option for the lead from the base to the iron. The mains cable is plenty long enough. Others have commented on the water dispensed from the iron at low temperatures. It's not really any worse than other irons I've used and is better than most. Steam won't be generated as easily at lower temperatures (that's physics for you!) so just go easy with the steam button. The only downside, and others have also commented is how the lead attaches to the iron. It doesn't fold flat and so is always in contact with your hand. Not a great problem but it is noticeable and a little annoying.
